Until death do us part: favorite colored artworks by DOUBLE-S [part 2/2]
J's tattoo aside (my icon <3) which is related to his past as a soldier and to his revenge, I'm really fond of the cross scar on his back being introduced this early, though the explanation for it will come way later, during Aegis' series.
I first came across this series because I was reading UDDUP (my first manga ever, yay) and I "read" J's story first (since it was untranslated) before moving onto Aegis' series. So I was very emotional when, reading Aegis' story, I finally understood that "Butterfly", the "terrorist maker", is the one who carved a large cross mark with a burning knife on the back of those who have the necessary background for becoming the kind of terrorists or avengers he seeks.
Very fitting. (also very fitting that "Butterfly" had a villain origin backstory that has parallels to both Aegis' and J's, my guys)
Ten years after the first fight against 24 and a year or two after Butterfly finally being dead, this still goes so hard

More under the cut:
mighty trio
Mamoru Hijikata - Jesus - Tate Karito
I knew you had issues, Tate, but DAMN.
Friendly reminder that Tate's arm got blown off by a bomb he failed to disarm (lol pun) that also happened to be strapped to the chest of his child.
