//Actually, it depends what you're reading/watching/etc. A lot of sources will tell you it's based in NY, actually (which is what I go by because it makes much more sense) and Bludhaven is located in NJ. But then Nolan-verse will tell you it's NJ.
I like to think that Gotham City is in New York too. Bludhaven definitely seems more like Jersey to me. NY and NJ. I imagine most cities in the DCU are east coast anyway, dunno why.
