Tattoo story!!!!!

Hey Alli!! Sorry I just saw this I literally have not been on Tumblr in over 24 hours (personal record!!) anyway so basically butterfly bandage because well obviously the lyric from Disloyal Order of Water Buffaloes “fell out of bed, butterfly bandage, but don’t worry...”. And I have four reasons I would choose butterfly bandage;

1) It’s a reference to like one of my all time favorite Fall Out Boy songs like yes??

2) butterfly bandages are typically used on like small cuts, like they’re usually cuts that are short and kinda deep but like they’re still open wounds. and so the butterfly bandage kind of closes those wounds and holds them together until they eventually heal

3) so this kinda ties into the second (sort of) but my grandfather died a while ago and one of the things i associate with him are butterflies because we used to catch them at his house and so a butterfly bandage kind of makes me think of him and kind of accepting the fact he’s gone? almost like the bandage symbolizes closing the gap him dying left? 

4) the wounds butterfly bandages heal aren’t usually ones that like really worry people? like they mostly affect and hurt the person afflicted but no one else really gets all that involved as opposed to like stitches/broken bone where everyone and their grandma is concerned and i feel like a butterfly bandage almost represents having to overcome your own problems and hurt alone over time but getting there eventually.

and it’d be a relatively small tattoo, probably on my wrist or like a small portion of my ribcage or even like inner finger?? idk xD thanks for asking and sorry for the late/sucky response
