People started arriving soon while the cake was in the oven; Tatum and Ainsley brought Joslyn of course; unfortunately Isaiah couldn’t make it because of work coming up but he promised he’d be around soon to give them their gifts.
And Levi still hasn’t figured out that Finley’s too big for him to be throwing around
“Dad.... You know he’s getting too big for that” Leo warned, really worried his dad was gonna throw his back out or something
“Leo I’m only in my 40s, chill” He laughed as he played with his grandson
“Yeah but.... Fine”
As the very long night came to a close everybody said their goodbyes and left, one by one. Overall they were both very happy with the way things turned out even if Alec did show up; at least Isaiah kept him distracted and kind of mediated the situation- he was good at that, always had been. Although they weren’t too sure what the future had in store for them now, Ricco had more clarity that this was in fact where he was meant to be, who he was meant to spend his life with and the people he was meant to be surrounded by; something he was never quite sure of in his 28 years until now. This was home, this was his happy place; hell anywhere was as long as he was with Leo.
“Hey Leo....” Ricco chimed in quietly but clearly the other didn’t hear him, as they started talking about bands and Leo got really into it.
“No. Clearly Kingsfoil is better than The Wonder Years” He argued while Desirae smirked and shook her head
“Absolutely not!--”
“LEO” Ricco grumbled, not in the mood suddenly because Noah cancelled their game tonight because he had to work.
“What?!” Leo snapped back as he looked over his shoulder and then saw Tatum and Joslyn “Oh” he sighed, glancing at Desirae “Guess that’s my cue, her daddy is here” He said before Des shrugged
“I’ll text you later then and we can continue this debate” she smirked before waving and going to find Kitty and Hudson
“Hey princess, did you have fun with uncle Leo?” Tatum asked as he scooped Joslyn up by her legs while she squealed and laughed “Yeah!” she replied cutely
Leo walked over and waved a little “Hey, Where’s Ainsley?” He asked curiously since he’d expected them to both show up
“Ah still at the doctor’s running a few more tests and doing some paperwork” Tatum shrugged as he set Joslyn down
“Wait, what? She said you were going shopping--”
“We did.... but we also had an ultrasound appointment” Tatum said with a big grin
“Wait- WHAT?! What’s that mean?” Leo sputtered; unsure if that meant what he thought it did
“Yep baby #2′s on the way” Tatum chuckled quietly as he scratched the back of his neck while Joslyn tugged on his jeans and tried to climb him
“Shit- congrats dude! That’s so exciting! Was this planned or??”
“Kind of? I guess. We weren’t trying not to have one” He said quietly while messing up Joslyn’s hair “I just hope we can juggle both of them and not leave her feeling left out, y’know?”
“Awh I’m sure you’ll do fine, you’re a great dad Tatum” Leo smiled while Ricco just sorta stood there like an awkward stump until he was elbowed by Leo
“Yeah congrats” he muttered as his eyes flicked to Tatum and then away again
“Ah well I’ll leave you to it then, Let’s go see mommy Josie!” Tatum exclaimed while putting her on his shoulders and leaving
Pretty much everyone showed up, even Tatum which was a little surprising as they thought he’d have to work tonight. Ainsley was ridiculously huge; hard to believe it’d actually been that long but she was due soon. “You guys know what you’re gonna name her yet?” Ricco asked as he glanced at the two being all cute
“Mhm. We have a name, but it’s a secret” Ains said with a wink as she glanced at Ricco, she wasn’t jealous anymore because Tatum had become such a doting boyfriend. Isaiah showed up and there was talk of bringing Emilia but she didn’t want to come, Leo was over what happened, like... way over it. But Isaiah had even started to grow some facial hair which made the other two a little jealous. Still little baby faces they were; Maddox and Levi of course showed up but Ella had school in the morning so they decided against letting her come because they knew they wouldn’t be home till late.
“This is nice Leo.... I thought I’d be a little nervous around so many people I’ve not seen in so long but it’s actually not bad” he said as he squeezed his man and nuzzled his neck which made Leo laugh
“What would you be nervous about? These are your friends, idiot. And my dads who you lived with for four or five months” he retorted as he leaned back into him and sighed contently
Tatum had immediately felt bad when Ainsley went rushing out and heard her talking on the phone and something about the arcade so of course he immediately went out to find her. But when he got there...
“It’s going to be okay Ainsley, don’t start crying again” Leo shushed as he ruffled her hair, not noticing the brunet at first
“Uhm... Ainsley... I...” the boy spoke quietly, feeling a bit awkward around Leo. When he first transferred in february he’d always had a crush on Ainsley but she was always had major heart-eyes for Leo so he never said anything, so when she came to him wanting to hang out and they ended up hooking up he felt lucky as hell but seeing her like this with Leo...
“Oh. Uh. Ains, I think you should talk to him” Leo encouraged as she whined and nodded a little
