Can't stop thinking about your girl!Noct fic. Do the bros crush on girl!Noctis? How does everyone react to her marrying Ravus? How much does Luna want to be a cool aunt? xD I want to know everything!
Ahhhh well okay first I have posted a couple snippets before which you can find here and here. But the rundown of what this AU is is basically canon up until Altissia. Noctis still goes on the roadtrip, except that the wedding is to Ravus instead. She’s still friends with Luna and they pass the notebook back and forth. In this universe she’s not allowed to have any romantic relationships and is required to remain virginal for her arranged marriage, so she can’t do anything with any of the bros pre-canon, and then even when it’s all gone to hell she’s still on her way to her wedding and is determined to see it through.
So anyway yes I am not capable of writing a universe where Prompto’s not kind of in love with Noct so we can assume Prompto is into her but he knows he can’t have her and she knows she can’t have him so they decide to just be buds. Ignis and Gladio are basically her brothers, platonic only.
ANYWAY so see the first link above for the intro bit with Luna and the second link for them running into Ravus at that base. It goes different when they get to Altissia, at which point Noct is reunited with Luna, gets married to Ravus, and THEN does the Leviathan battle. The battle goes as it goes in canon (sorry Luna), but afterward Noct and Ravus team up to take the fight to the empire, definitely in an airship, possibly with Aranea. Along the way they get it on a bunch because even though they’re barely starting to learn to be able to work together, the sex is amazing, and they ARE married after all. (Some of this is probably sad grief sex about Luna, and there’s definitely a point where they fight about their feelings about Luna and bond over their grief.) (There’s another version where Luna survives? But my original plan was that she doesn’t.)
I never managed to figure out exactly what happens then, but it’s either:
1) Because Ravus has ~blood of the oracle~ there’s some magic that occurs when he and Noct touch the crystal together, defeating Ardyn and the daemons without requiring Noct to be a sacrifice.
2) Noct goes into the crystal a la episode Ignis after a dramatic battle in Zegnautus, is there ten years, Ravus does NOT grow that godawful beard, she comes out and they beat Ardyn by the combined power of the Lucii and the Oracle’s line, Noct doesn’t die.
Either way, by the time they defeat the scourge they’ve grown to care about each other and respect each other, and Ravus has learned to be a better person through the power of love and Noct’s boundless capacity for love and goodness, and after it’s over they stay married and have a baby (a girl, who is in some way named after Luna or in honor of Luna) and live happily ever after and it’s very much inspired by this song. (I realize this is a ridiculously sappy plot and includes the cliche of a woman’s love changing a man but really I meant it more like she will take none of his shit and is a total badass and that inspires him to be better.)
Okay going back up to your question I realize I didn’t really answer it SO I think when Noct comes out of that bedroom in the morning probably Gladio’s been standing guard all night and they’re all super worried about her and that Ravus might have hurt her and she’s exremely blushy about the whole thing and has to tell them that it’s fine, she liked it. They’re all highly skeptical of Ravus and think it’s a terrible idea that Noct is proposing teaming up with him, and that Noct is still going to Ravus’s bed every night, but gradually they come around (perhaps Ignis first because of the events in Altissia?).
