these are the ones y'all like, right? c:
Far too often, the North American market is left out of some of the coolest performance cars in the industry, but not when it comes to Ford’s sleeper sedans. The Taurus SHO and Fusion Sport were exclusive to North America, and were the quickest cars in their classes. Sharing the same 6F55 transmission and Intelligent AWD, the differences are only apparent under the hood.
The Taurus SHO sports Ford’s 365hp, 3.5L Twin Turbo EcoBoost V6, while the Fusion offers the slightly smaller 325hp, 2.7L Twin Turbo EcoBoost V6. Though quick from the factory, these sleepers come to life with just a tune, and can easily be modified to run 11s and 12s in the 1/4.
Neither car is a lightweight, though. With both clocking in at over 2 tons, it’s amazing to think that both of these family cars hit 60 in just over 5 seconds stock. While not exactly canyon carvers, they’re certainly practical daily drivers that surprise many at a stoplight.
Trying to get this garbage pile back on the road
The mighty Taurus SHO, spotted at the Pavillions Cruise Night, Scottsdale, AZ. Thought this was my old car for a while, until I talked to the owner. Very clean.
