Staschko gets called the Tausendsasser in the German version of the Preußler adaptation.
Tausendsasser is a word for someone who is gifted in many ways, something between a universal genius, a go-getter or a daredevil. It is a compound word of "Tausend" / "thousand" + "sassa" / a shortened call form the old 'Waidsprech' or hunting-german heisar!, husar! in english or ça! in french.
A notable thing about this is that the term comes from the 18th century woadspeak but the Krabat tale is set in the 16th century. I doubt that little inconcitency matters to most modern readers.
