For some reason, everyone had decided going skinny dipping in the lake was the best thing they could do to round out their weekend camping.

"It will be a great idea!" cheered Cersei, getting up from her position in front of her tent. "Is there a better way to celebrate graduating from university than doing something truly wild?"

Margaery looked at Cersei sceptically. "An all-expenses paid trip to Braavos?"

"Drinking a very big bottle of wine?" suggested Renly.

A good book, thought Brienne, sitting rigidly on her log before the fire, toasting a marshmallow. Or even walking over hot coals. Literally ANYTHING will be better than skinny dipping.

ohhh for the ship asks! What was your first ship & what fandom was it from?

So, this is deeply embarrassing, but I think the first couple I shipped was Guy/Marian from the BBCs Robin Hood. I didn’t necessarily do it consciously - I wasn’t on the internet writing fanfic or anything - but I did feel very passionately about it. I was 13 when the series first came out and I found Guy interesting in a way Robin definitely wasn’t, which confused me at 13 because he was the villain… wasn’t he? I genuinely think this mayhem was all caused by the fact that the actors playing Robin/Marian didn’t have much chemistry, and then some bright spark decided to go and cast Richard bloody Armitage as Guy, but there you go.

None of my friends watched it, so I had no one to talk to about this deeply angsty thing that was going on between Guy and Marian. Was Guy genuinely going to reform for Marian? Was he a good guy or just the sheriff’s stooge? Did Marian also have feelings for Guy even though the set up was all for Marian/Robin? I had to deal with all this on my own until I discovered my friend’s older sister also watched the show. She used to drive us to school every Wednesday, and we would end up having passionate discussions as to whether Marian/Robin or Marian/Guy was the Robin Hood OTP (so… I guess I was kinda in a ship war?)

I mean, I stopped watching soon after *spoilers* Guy kills Marian because, although that plot twist seemed a natural conclusion to their storyline, I thought all the tension had been zapped out of the show in an instant. But, in hindsight, I think it is quite funny because I can see the template for my Jaime Lannister love right there, so that is fairly amusing!
