Hey @taylorswift ! Today, I became a woman. Today I celebrated my 18th birthday. I realize that starting today, everything will slowly begin to change for better and for worse. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t scared, but I know that if you can still someohow handle this crazy world even after 13 years, I can too. I would like to thank you for playing such a huge role in my life. I know that if it weren’t for my parents, having you as a role model, and listening to your music since I was 5, I probably would be the strong-minded, confident, and loving young woman I am today. Thanks to you, I learned that giving up will get you no where, but persevering, even through the worst of trials, will greatly benefit you in the end. From you I learned that in order to grow we have to face challenges that we sometimes don’t know how to face. But eventually, we will rise above them and grow a little bit stronger every time. You thought me today is never to late to start over and be brand new. You taught me that love is a ruthless game unless you play it good and right. And as a Senior in high school, I can most definitely say that “Boys only want love if it’s torture...” is the truest of truths I’ve ever heard. In the end, thanks for showing me that there are good people in this world after all, and you are most definitely one of them ❤️
