all I’m saying is that TAZ: Amnesty and The Magnus Archives could conceivably fit within the same universe. Or at least you could bend Amnesty enough to fit in, and it doesn’t take that much effort:
Thacker is an avatar of the Eye
He Wants To Know, Always (that was the point of his quest to/exploration of Sylain -- to try to get answers)
they literally called him Archivist in Episode 32 I’m dying y’all
along with calling him the Archivist, Thacker pulled on some Archivist powers to spy on the Quell and just Know what it was up to/how they could stop it
Aubrey belongs to the Desolation (obviously)
her mother’s family has probably belonged to the Desolation for a long, long time (the Flame Bright Pendant is one of their stronger ties to their god)
OH NO Aubrey died too the night of the fire. Ned couldn’t save her, but she grew up around the FBP, she’s always belonged to the Desolation, so that just threw her straight out of being human and into belonging fully to the Lightless Flame
actually this AU is cancelled now, I’m already too sad
Duck gets his powers from Minerva who is an avatar of...the Spiral?
I considered the Vast, because Space, but Minerva can only be seen by the Chosen, not by anyone else, which fits in neatly with an aspect of the Spiral being (fear of) madness/not being able to trust your senses
also the Spiral’s corridors are a very good fit in with Minerva’s wormhole powers/travel
hmm the question is whether the archway to Sylvain is associated with the Spiral or not. probably not. but when the archway opens in Kepler, a different doorway opens in front of teenaged Duck Newton
Ned is either human or affiliated with the Lonely
if the latter, then unlike Aubrey and Duck, who fell into their powers at depressingly young ages, Ned didn’t have anything to do with the Lonely until after he split off from Boyd
whether or not Ned is associated with the Lonely, he has definitely run into at least one, if not several, Jurgen Leitner books
But The Supernatural Is Definitely Not Real, Ha Ha
Don't mind that smell, Mister Chicane, that's just goose. It's cooked.
the whole slim jim scene this episode was griffin getting back at justin for making leo a vegan and forcing griffin to go along with it
THAT’S RIGHT YOUR BEST FRIEND HAS BEEN BIGFOOT THE WHOLE TIME!
thacker and mama’s Best Friends Energy™ is off the charts and I’m loving it
good thing I live alone, otherwise a roommate might be weirded out about my yelling NO in increasing levels of volume and distress while listening to amnesty episode 27
I can and will keep crying over ned chicane
