Request - @narcissa-of-kaas - Hey there! Could you please do something with Tech for #39 from your prompt list ?💜
Prompt - “I had a nightmare about you and I just wanted to make sure you were okay.” (Set post season 2, pre season 3)
You couldn’t even say how much time had passed since that Force forsaken day. It had been months at best and yet somehow it felt more like years. You had never been able to adjust to a life without Tech, how could you? It was impossible to believe that there had ever been a time where you hadn’t had Tech in your life, hadn’t had him ready at your side rattling facts of, filling silences with knowledge or just sitting together as he tinkered away. Whenever you needed somebody, it was always Tech you turned to.
Then all of a sudden Tech was gone.
You still remembered the day, still remembered watching him fall from the cart, still remembered the heart wrenching scream that escaped you as you could do nothing but watch, only Hunter kept you where you were, stopping you from following after Tech, dragging you against his chest and forcing you to stay on the cart as it sped away from Tech.
You had no memory of leaving, everything since then had passed in a blur and you were certain it was only thanks to Hunter you had managed to make it back to safety.
A day hadn’t passed where you let yourself believe Tech was dead. You couldn’t ever let yourself believe that, the second you did you knew you’d be done. You had to force yourself to keep that small spark of hope that seemed to dim as each day went by.
You spent your days sat on the comm, pleading for hours for Tech to answer you, pleading with him to come back home, to come back to you. Hunter and Wrecker watched on with aching hearts as you refused to be moved, refused to let yourself accept reality.
The loss of Tech was only worsened by the loss of Omega, then Echo left to go help Rex, unable to stand being on the Marauder. You didn’t blame him, some days being on the ship drove you crazy, there were too many memories, too many constant reminders of those that should have been here but weren’t. Some days you couldn’t drag yourself out of bed, the smell of Tech on the sheets lessened with each day he was gone but you had to believe he’d be back one day.
Months had passed since that day and you were startled all of a sudden when the comm came to life, a distress signal that was used by the Batch could be heard. Hunter watched your face fill with relief, with hope. It broke his heart but still it was a code they used, they had to check it out.
You were relieved beyond words to see that Omega and Crosshair were safe and alive and yet you were disappointed. You hated to even admit it to yourself, hated the fact that when you saw the pair your heart dropped because it wasn’t Tech.
It was meant to be Tech.
Nobody blamed you for withdrawing after that, they knew you wanted Tech back. You had felt the spark of hope you had fizzle out, desperately wanting to stay alight but you didn’t know how to keep believing, didn’t know how to carry on without Tech.
It seemed that even though things had gotten better, two members of the Batch were back where they belonged, it was never right. There was constantly an empty space in every room of the Marauder, a silence after somebody said something where you still waited for Tech to talk, there were no longer random projects left out for you to fall over, it wasn’t home without Tech.
You still sat at the comm but your heart was empty as you spoke, you would give anything for a reply.
Then one day it came.
A strange message that consisted of nothing more than a set of coordinates and a cryptic message of ‘pl45’. Suddenly that spark of hope that had gone out weeks ago was back with a mighty flame, pushing out all the darkness and you just knew, it had to be him.
“Hunter!” You called, looking at the coordinates and the message, Plan 45, it was definitely a code the Batch used.
Hunter frowned as he looked at the message, Plan 45 meant mission gone wrong. It was their code, a random one to use but still their code. He wasn’t sure about it, one look at your face and he knew you had gotten your hopes up, he hated that you were going to be left more broken than before, he wasn’t sure you’d recover from this one.
“Y/N,” Hunter sighed softly but you were already shaking your head at him, standing from your seat and pushing past him into the cockpit. “Hey, I want it to be him too!”
“Then let’s go!” You snapped at Hunter, immediately feeling bad. You knew that whilst you hadn’t been coping well with the loss of Tech, without Hunter you probably would have completely lost it months ago. He truly had been your saving grace. “I’m sorry, it’s just…it’s Tech, I know it is.”
Hunter looked at you, his face contorted with sympathy but eventually he nodded, taking a seat in the cockpit as you typed in the coordinates. He didn’t say anything but that was just what you needed, to have Hunter by your side as you went to find Tech.
It had to be Tech.
It had to be.
It took two days to land on the planet the coordinates led to, a planet you didn’t know the name of and was so far off the map. You were sure Tech would have a fact or two about it if he were here.
You had sat on the comm, watching it, willing it to come alive with another message but nothing more came through.
The ship finally landed and you were the first off it, eyes scanning the forest around you, looking for any sign of Tech. The others followed you out of the Marauder, each of them looking around and seeing nothing, knowing it was going to be bad for you when you came to another dead end.
It was Hunter who heard him first, a crunch and snap of twigs under a boot alerted him and he let out a small gasp, feeling Crosshair and Wrecker look at him.
It took a few more moments but Tech appeared from the trees and you felt your legs nearly give out as you looked at him, unable to move.
“Y/N.” Tech breathed out and that was all you needed to force your feet forward, practically falling into his chest and Tech didn’t care how sore his body was he still wrapped his arms around you and held you close.
“You got my message.” He whispered into your hair and you laughed though the noise sounded more like a sob as silent tears made their way down your cheeks.
Tech felt his own eyes well up but he managed to keep the tears contained as he looked past you to his brothers, though a few tears did manage to trickle out as he saw Crosshair looking back at him.
Eventually you managed to pull away and Tech brought his hand to your cheek, brushing away your tears before he leant his forehead against yours.
“I knew you were alive.” You told him, your voice barely audible as you tried to hold back more tears. “I knew you were.”
Tech leaned forward, brushing his lips against yours and you couldn’t stop more tears from falling as you kissed him back, savouring the feeling after doubting if you would ever feel this again.
You never strayed far from Tech when the two of you eventually pulled away and he was embraced by his brothers, each of their eyes watery and a few of their cheeks wet where tears had fallen.
Eventually you all made your way back into the Marauder and Tech excused himself for a much needed sonic. You were reluctant to let him go but watched him leave, assuring yourself he was back.
“I told you.” You said softly as Hunter came to sit next to you. “I told you he was alive.”
Hunter pulled you against his chest, his arm going around your shoulder as he placed a soft kiss to your head.
“He’s alive.” Hunter murmured against your hair, still trying to wrap his mind around it himself.
By the time Tech had left the fresher Hunter had gotten the ship into hyperspace and everyone was sat together. Tech immediately made his way over to you, not wasting any time in pulling you close to him, your hand finding his as the others spoke softly, your thumb stroking over his knuckles in a constant reminder that he was there.
The six of you sat there for hours, Tech filled you in on what had happened since his fall, Omega had excitedly told Tech about her and Crosshair’s daring escape and the rest of the night was spent reliving old memories until you were all yawning.
None of you wanted to pull yourselves out of that moment but the need for sleep was too much and you forced yourselves up and into bed.
You were happy to go to bed though when Tech climbed in after you and pulled you close, the sound of his steady breathing was enough to lull you into an easy sleep, something that you hadn’t been able to do for months, your eyes falling closed feeling warm and overwhelmingly relieved.
It wasn’t until you gasped awake, shivering at the cold air that you knew something wasn’t right. You looked around and felt your heart sink as you realised you were on a cart, Storm Troopers shooting at you from across the way. It wasn’t until you saw Tech running across the rail line that you felt panic build up.
“No.” You whispered to yourself, Omega looking up at you in confusion. “No, he’s alive. I got him back.”
“Um, Hunter, something’s wrong with Y/N.” You heard Omega say but you didn’t pay attention to Hunter calling your name, instead keeping your eyes locked on Tech like your gaze alone could change everything.
“We’ve got three ships inbound.” Hunter said, dragging his gaze from you and back onto the fight.
You shook your head, how many times had you been forced to relive this day? How many times had you been forced to lose Tech? You thought you had him back, you had him back. Was that just a dream, a way to cope with him being gone?
Power came rushing back to the cart, snapping you back to reality and your eyes filled with tears as you watched Tech running back towards the cart, trying to outrun the blaster shots aimed at him.
You could only watch through blurry tear filled eyes as Tech fell from the rail line onto a falling cart, watching as he just about managed to secure himself with his grappling line but there was nowhere for him to go, the cart was falling faster than he could climb.
“Wrecker, get him on board.” Hunter commanded, though the command was filled with underlying worry.
You let out a choked sob, knowing that command wouldn’t be carried out.
“You must sever the connecting hinge. Now!” Tech instructed and you shook your head madly.
“Tech.” You managed to choke out. “Please.”
“Y/N,” You heard Tech sigh and your name falling from his lips had more sobs escaping you. “I’m sorry, my love.”
You watched as he pulled his blaster out and knew what was to come.
“Plan 99.” He said and you screamed as he fired his blaster, only able to watch as he fell, seconds away from blinding following after him only to have Hunter snatch you away from the edge, holding you tightly against his chest as you thrashed madly against him, unsure of what you could do if you managed to get out of his hold but the only thought in your mind was that you wanted Tech.
He couldn’t be dead.
You shot up with a gasp, silent tears falling down your face and sweat clinging to your body as you looked around, assuring yourself you were in the Marauder. Your heart hammered in your chest when you realised you were alone.
Had Tech ever been back?
You forced your body out of bed, of course he was back, he had to be.
Your feet silently carried you through the Marauder, only stopping when you got to the cockpit and you felt a sob escape you when you saw Tech in the pilot’s seat, looking out of the window as you flew through hyperspace.
The noise had Tech turning to face you with a worried look.
“What happened, my love?” The pet name had your mind flashing back to the last thing he said to you but you shook your head, wiping the tears away as best you could.
“I had a nightmare about you,” You told him, watching as his face softened and he made room for you on the chair. “And I just wanted to make sure you were okay.”
“I’m okay, dear.” He assured you as you sat in the chair, his arm wrapping around you as he held you close, guiding your head to his chest so you could feel his heart beat loud and clear. “I’m alive.”
The words were a reassurance to the both of you as you sat there holding each other in silence whilst you passed through hyperspace, Tech was here.
He was alive and he was going nowhere.

Here is the request! Hope everyone that reads enjoys!
I wanted to make it Tech x reader x Echo but it’s just tech! Might be a little ooc too
My requests are open!
Tech jolts upright, his entire body flutters with pain.
Your voice echoes in his mind, screaming for him.
He calls your name as his eyes begin to adjust to the dimly lit room. He's sure his brothers would have put you in the same room as him. However, as his hands begin to search the space beside him it is empty and cold.
"Tech" Omega's voice is soft and shaky, she tries to speak again but instead she lets out a wail and she blubbering and he can't quite make a single word she is saying.
"Where is Hunter, Omega?" He rubs at the sudden ache that is building in his head, that's not who he really wants but the only thing he can think is he must have told you to stay with the ship have it on stand by as they recover, after all you stayed with the ship.
The door swooshes open, in walks Hunter and Wrecker. Hunter holds something in his hands. Wrecker's head hangs low, a frown etched into his features. Tech feels a sudden darkness creeping up from his gut.
"Well, where are they?" He asks biting back the sudden shake in his voice "Waiting by the ship, angry with me I assume" He pushes himself up
"Tech" Hunter's brows knit together and what look to be tears forming in his eyes "They're gone"
Tech begins to shake his head, as he starts to make his way towards the door but Hunter stops him by putting his hand on his shoulder.
"I told them to wait by the ship" Tech doesn't like the shake in his tone "They agreed to wait there for me" He adds as he meets Hunters sad eyes before glancing at the other two "This is a joke? They here, in the bar?" He forces a laugh from his throat and begins to call for you and Hunter wraps his arms around his brother unsure of what to do.
_
Tech watches you pull on the armour he had made for you. He lets out a breath as he walks over to you, his hands rest on your shoulders. He rubs his thumbs in circular motions, trying to relive the knots forming.
"You should stay with the ship, we might need a quick getaway" Tech spins you around, his pleading eyes meet yours
"Tech.." you whisper, his hands move from your shoulders to your waist and he pulls you into him "Okay, but you have to come back to me" You grab his face, making him look at you and he nods as he press his forehead to yours.
_
Tech couldn't believe it, he's glaring at you but your smiling down at Omega. He looks to his brothers, asking for a moment before taking your shoulder and pulling a few steps away from the group.
"I told you to stay with the ship!"
"Where you go, I go"
Tech points a finger at you, before talking your hand and pulling you back to the group
"You don't leave my side" He orders and you nod "Never" You give his hand a squeeze.
_
It's time to be brave.
your hands grip the cable wondering if you'll be able to pull yourself up- the cable cart shifts- you clench your jaw as you look back up. Tech is climb his way up, Omega eyes never leaving his frame until he's inside with her.
"Can you pull yourself up?" Omega calls down and you frown as you shake your head.
"We will find a way" Tech calls down after you "We are not leaving without you" you smile, your lip trembling as you nod a soft "Okay" slipping past your lips
The sound of blasters cause you to look at the cable cart making it's way towards you and the others. You catch sight in the distance all the battle ships coming this way.
You close your eyes looking back up over at Tech. The gears in his turning as you can see him coming up with nothing. Your hand goes to the blaster on your hip.
It's time, there is no other option. You can see it on his face and you can feel it in your gut. The cart wont go unless you get rid of the one holding it back. You grip the handle of your blaster, pulling it from it place.
"No! Don't you dare" Tech growls out "We have time! We can figure this out"
"Tech we are out of time!" You say "It's the end of the line for me" You raise the blaster, shaky fingers hover over the trigger as the cart jolts making you grip the cable tighter and you raise the blaster once more and shoot.
This is just a short little something, I hope you like it though :)
The Bad Batch | Tech with a shy S/O
Tech isn't really the most outgoing person himself, so you might think it would take a while for the two of you to open up to each other and start something. But honestly you'd probably get along better for that reason
Chances are if you're more on the quiet side you'd only catch his attention more honestly
Like he'd want to get to know more about you. And if you're more on the quiet side? Then he can go on about things and you'll actually listen to him, which would make him so happy
But seriously he's so curious by nature and wants to know stuff. So when you caught his eye, of course he'd want to know more about you. And you being more shy/reserved would only serve as a challenge to him. You'd drive him crazy in the best way possible because he'd be thinking of you all the time, wanting to get to know you better
Would find your shyness so cute though, and honestly, you'd bring that side of him out more
He'd be so hellbent on impressing you and making a good impression at first that he'd clam up easily around you
And would easily go red at your slightest interactions :>
Especially as you started opening up to him. He would be the quiet one, suddenly going very tight lipped as he listened to anything you had to say carefully
And omg. If you were listening to him all careful and wide-eyed and curious? He would be going and when suddenly he'd be overly self aware as you stared and listened and would go so pink and would lose his train of thought
Anytime he got a laugh or smile out of you he'd have to hold back so much joy. You'd make his heart race so much
And if you were shy /because/ of him?? Like if he complimented you or got close or touched you in passing and you got visibly flustered and quiet?? He can't cope
Would find you so sweet overall and would be protective of you in his own way too
Could you write a tech x reader where the reader gets hurt and tech freaks out? I love your work !
"I Told You So"
A/N: hehehe my second request! and thank you for the compliment, it made my day! I also used female pronouns just let me know if those aren't what you use and I'll change it, but here you go I hope you enjoy. (thank you @arieslost for being my lovely, amazing beta-reader)
Word Count: 2.8k

Warnings: Blood, injury, hospital mentions, overall health care. I didn't include echo in this bc it takes place during CW but then I mention Anakin so like over plot errors lol
Summary: Force user!reader (think CW S7 Ahsoka were she isn’t in the order but is helping the republic/jedi out) gets hurt on a mission and Tech loses his cool, secrets are spilt and emotions are shown.
Star Wars Masterlist
It was an easy mission they said. In and out. A recon mission, no explosives, no one was supposed to know that you were here. Oh, how it all seemed so easy when Anakin explained the plan.
“Oh Y/n we need you and clone force 99 to sneak in and grab the battle plan, oh it will be soooo easy,” you mimicked Anakin’s voice.
“Are you still complaining about General Skywalker's request?”
“Yes Tech I am, and I will continue to do so until we are back on the Marauder and I can personally comm Anakin and tell him off,” you reply.
This wasn’t the first time you’ve been asked to do a favor for the Republic or the Jedi Order and you highly doubted it would be the last.
Being a private contractor had its perks, being a force using private contractor, however, had its disadvantages. Exhibit A- this kriffing mission. This wasn’t the first mission you’ve done with the boys of the bad batch, in fact you could say you were all well acquainted with one another, and one more than the others.
You’ve been asked plenty of times why as person with such a strong connection to the force isn’t part of the jedi order and the answer is simple, your parents loved you. No seriously, they did. They’ve heard stories of the Jedi taking children from their homes, preparing them to be “keepers of the peace” or as your father put it “magical soldiers for the Republic”. They heard how they aren’t supposed to form attachments or fall in love, and your parents didn’t want that. According to them forming attachments and having emotions is what made you alive. Your parents never discouraged the use of your gifts, instead they embraced them. They helped you control them, control your emotions, they helped you understand.
Not being a part of the order had its perks, you didn’t have to follow their rules, live by their lifestyle, wear their silly robes, and you got to form attachments. That last one was a big one especially now, it wasn’t that hard to follow after the death of your parents when you were out alone in the galaxy taking spare jobs here and there to live. That’s how you were found by the Jedi Order, one of your previous clients gave your information to a Jedi needing assistance, for makers sake Dex you can’t be giving out information to all those who ask. That was the first time you were ever asked by Master Yoda and Master Kenobi to help assist them and a small groups of clones on a mission for the Republic.
That small group of clones you soon learned called themselves the bad batch were your counterpart, outcast of their own group essentially is what you were. The first time you ever met them was a day you are certain you will never forget. Wrecker was welcoming so was Hunter, Crosshair was standoffish and quiet, but Tech, Tech asked you so many question you thought your head was going to explode. ‘If you are a force user how come you aren’t a Jedi, my only other calculator is that you are a Sith but that is highly unlikely since you are working for the Republic. But yet you don’t have a lightsaber, fascinating’. And while it was true that you weren’t a Jedi nor Sith, nor did you have a lightsaber you were proven a great asset that day, and since forward everytime the Republic or the Jedi needed you, there you were and the members of clone force 99 weren’t far behind.
“Y/n did you hear me?” Tech ask while tapping you on the shoulder.
“No I was too busy thinking, what did you say.”
“I said that according to my information the guard change should be happening shortly and that is the most optimal time to advance into position.”
“Ah, I love it when you talk all smart to me,” you respond back with a grin.
“It’s time, are you ready to go mesh’la?” Tech asks while slowly moving from your hiding place, holding his hand out for you to take.
Tech, the reason you were happy to never be apart of the Jedi Order. Being apart of the Order meant you could never have an attachment to him, and how could you not? He was smart, attentive, unknowingly funny, and attractive. Conversation were hard at first, you and him didn’t have much in common but after some awkward small talk you two soon found common interest and from there a friendship and from there a relationship. Well, a private relationship.
While it wasn’t illegal to have a relationship with a clone, it was unorthodox and unheard of. The two of you decided to keep it a secret in case it affected how future missions would go, although with your guys’s success they wouldn’t dream of splitting up you, but it was better to be safe than sorry.
“I’m always ready Tech,” you reply, grabbing his hand.
The two of you fully move out from your position and into the open field that surrounds the communication center. They say that being one with the force gave you heightened senses, you never really believed it until you went on more and more mission, every time you thought something was going to go wrong it did, everytime you thought someone was watching you, they were.
Once you two enter, you made your way towards the abandoned section of the communication center. That same feeling wraps around your gut, something is off. Something is going to happen.
In a panic you yank on Tech’s hand, halting him to a stop. “Tech, I have a really bad feeling about this.”
“Why? What’s wrong?” He asks worriedly.
“I feel like someone is watching us, I have the feeling we aren’t alone.”
“Well according to General Skywalker’s plans and my own research this part of the base has been abandoned for a while, we have nothing to worry about.”
“No, Tech you don’t understand. Everytime I get this feeling, something happens.”
“Y/n, I understand your concern, but with all the information I found it is highly unlikely that anyone is going to be here, and besides according to the information General Skywalker had gotten from his source it is their meal break, everyone is probably eating.”
“Tech, I appreciate you trying to calm my nerves but this is something more than that. You said its hight unlikely, well that doesn’t mean its not impossible.”
“Mesh’la-”
You cut him off before he can get another word in, “Tech just trust me on this, I’m not saying that we turn back, I’m just saying lets take a little extra precaution.”
“Of course mesh’la, if it eases your mind.”
You don’t respond to that, instead you grab Tech’s hand and give it a tight squeeze, in which he returns.
After a few minutes of walking down corridors, making your needed turns you reach the door that leads to the records room. Tech proceeds to hack the door, which opens to reveal rows and rows of computers, comms, basically a storage unit of data.
Sighing, you turn to Tech, “Where do we even start?”
“I suppose the main computer will have an index of where everything should be located, I’ll start on that if you would like to keep a look out.”
You simply nod and start to walk back towards the door, shutting it leaving you and Tech incased in a glorified storage closet. You proceed to start walking up and down the rows of old containers filled with old data pads, comm links, and computers.
“Y/n!” Tech comms, “I’ve found what we need, I'm downloading the files now, shouldn’t be more than a few minutes.”
“Tech are you almost done, we have a slight issue.”
“Okay!” You comm back.
As you continue to wander you see a red flashing light in one of the containers. Making your way towards it you notice that its a comm, a comm that looks much newer than the rest of the ones in the bin. A moment of realization takes over as you start to sprint back towards Tech.
“Yes I am finishing up now, what seems to be the issue?”
“They know were here, there was a comm device mixed in with the others, transmitting. They’ve heard every word we’ve said since we got here. I turned it off but it’s only a matter of time till we have some company.”
“Okay, okay lets get going then.” He proceeds to comm Hunter, “Hunter, Hunter, do you copy? We’ve been compromised. Hunter this is Tech do you copy? Karabast, it seems that they’ve jammed our communications.”
The two of you pick you the pace, running and turning throughout the corridors. The two of you make it to the exit, and before you can leave Tech places his arm in front of you, stopping you from leaving the building.
He pulls out his datapad and sighs, “it seems this exit is surrounded, there is no escaping this way without harm or,” he pauses, “death. Without communication to the rest of the team I do not know there where abouts. There are other exits, although they take us through the main part of the communication center, but that way has the chance of having less battle droids.”
“Yeah, lets go with the avoiding death option please,” you say as you drag Tech to the stairs. The two of you run throughout the building till you reach the next exit.
“Crosshair, Hunter, Wrecker, does anyone copy?.... Crosshair, what is your position…. Okay will be coming out on that side, can you cover us? Okay we’ll see you shortly.”
“There is about 50 battle droids out there and I don’t know if there will be more on the way, but I was able to reach Crosshair and he’s ready when we are. There is cover to the right of us, I suggest we move there and start with formation 7.”
“Formation 7? That only proves successful when we have all members, even then its risky.”
“Formation 7 is the best bet since Crosshair is our eyes in this, I trust that he isn’t going to let us get killed.”
“When we get back to the ship I am so saying ‘I told you so’.”
“I wouldn’t expect anything less mesh’la.”
As the blast doors open, we are greeted with blaster fire, Crosshair picking them off from the top, Wrecker and Hunter are here as well. You and Tech rush to your right dodging the blaster fire and take cover behind some crates.
“You thought I was going to tell Skywalker off before this, oh I am going to chew his ear off now!” You shout over the chaos.
You and Tech join the fight, picking off the droids one by one, too immersed in the battle you fail to notice the little red beeping device at your feet.
Before you have time to react, the bomb goes off and you are sent flying back through the crates. Everything is ringing, you can hear nothing but everything at once. You try to open your eyes but your brain feels all shaken up.
Tech could watch in horror as your body in flung into the middle of the battlefield. He’s even more worried when he sees you are moving.
Tech has always been rational, thinking of the pros and cons of every situation. Estimating the statistics of success, while his brothers might find it annoying, he does it because he care, he doesn’t want anyone to get hurt. But, you, when it came to you all that rational thinking went out the window. Every statistic or what if wasn’t even a thought.
While all you could feel was pain, all Tech could feel was panic. While his rational thinking wasn’t in play, he wasn’t dumb enough to go rushing into an active battle and get himself killed, there were only a few driods left and none of them seemed focused on you.
Him and his brothers quickly picked off the rest of the droids with ease and with that Tech was rushing to unmoving form.
“Y/n? Mesh’la, can you hear me?” Tech kept repeating and gently shook your shoulders.
Only able to answer in a groan you were able to alert Tech that, yes you could hear him.
The rest of his brothers eventually came to the scene as Tech was trying to keep you awake.
“You need to stay awake for me, you understand. You’ll be fine, you just got your bell rung. You’ll be fine.” Tech says, ultimately trying to convince himself more than you.
“Tech, we need to get her to the ship, and to professional medical help immediately, her head, its bleeding,” Hunter says while placing a hand on Techs shoulder.
To Tech's horror he looks and sees that under your head is a growing puddle of blood, growing larger and larger by the second.
Time moves slow for you as you feel yourself being lifted off the ground and onto what you assume is a cot on the Marauder. The pain in your head is too much to focus on what else hurts. You try to fight the urge to fall asleep, remembering from one of Techs rants on first aid and medical training (a whole course he made you listen to the first time you ever went on a mission with the batch) that patients with head trauma were supposed to stay awake, or at least try too.
But it was just too hard, everything hurt, everything was too loud, and if you tried to open your eyes, everything was too bright. You were fighting a loosing battle and eventually slipped into unconsciousness.
The entire time in hyperspace, Tech wouldn’t leave your side. He was constantly checking your pulse, your breathing and applying pressure to your head while trying his best to treat all the other wounds that littered your body.
He was in completed distress, and it wasn’t going unnoticed by his brothers.
“Tech she’ll be okay, she’s a fighter she’ll pull through,” Hunter tries to reassure.
Wrecker pipes in, “Yeah! She’s tough, she’ll be okay.”
Crosshair just sits staring, at the couple it takes him a moment before he pipes up, “She’ll be okay, you love her and that’s what is going to keep her fighting.”
At Crosshairs comments the three others whip their heads at him, Tech opens and closes his mouth repeatedly trying to find the right comment to his brothers words.
“Love him? What do you mean Crosshair?” Wrecker asks the sniper.
“You guys don’t know? The two of them have been together for a while, Im surprised you having caught them trying to suck each others faces off.”
The questions and comments keep flying until it was time to drop out of hyperspace. As soon as the Marauder landed on a base on a random planet in the middle rim, you were quickly carried off and into surgery.
Tech was a mess for the hours that you were in surgery and the hours you were out but under intensive care watch. The batch had to report to General Skywalker but that could wait until you woke.
When you finally woke up the first thing you noticed, other than a killer headache, was a pressure against you hand. You looked to your side, seeing Tech fast asleep on your hand. You gently reached over with your other head to stroke his hair. At the movement Tech awoke, and you have never seen so many emotions flash across your eyes as you did then.
“I told you so,” you croaked.
“That you did, and I am so sorry for not listening, I should’ve listen. For makers sake you have the force, of course you would’ve known if something was wrong. This is all my fault-” Tech rambled on.
“Hey, this is not your fault, it wasn’t you who threw the bomb. I was the one who agreed to take the mission and help out. No one forced me to do anything,” You reassured him.
Tech looked down at your intertwined hands, to which you removed them and place them on his cheeks. Swiftly you pulled him into a quick kiss, which Tech accepted.
“You had me worried,” Tech admitted.
“Well I would be concerned if you weren’t.”
“It was a trap, we were given faulty information.”
“We were and that’s why you are going to get me General Skywalker so I can chew him out and you can watch me do so.”
“Of course mesh’la”
“Thank you Tech.”
Tech gets up to leave and before he walks out the door he looks over his shoulder at you, “I love you Y/n.”
Do you have headcanons on how Tech would deal with an overly affectionate s/o? Would he enjoy the attention or hate it?
This is pretty brief, trying to get around to some shorter requests and such to get back into writing :) I hope you like it!
Star Wars | How Tech would react to his S/O being heavily affectionate
Tech wouldn't know how to deal with this at first. Not to say he'd complain, but he'd definitely be an embarrassed mess anytime you gave him that sort of attention
Especially around the others. His cheeks and ears would go so red and he'd lose his train of thought. Normally he has no problem finding something to say but if you were being affectionate in any way, his words would trail off as his lips would press together nervously
(This would all result in a lot of teasing from his brothers, who would find your affection toward him/his awkward reactions endearing, despite saying otherwise)
He would definitely like your affection though. Especially when you were alone
Tenses up beneath all your touches. Despite the redness of his cheeks, his lips would involuntarily curl into a shy smile. Would almost melt into you
He'd love little, familiar things like holding his hands or just standing with your hand on his arm/shoulder and things like that. It would make him feel secure and comfortable, and sooner than later, he'd do it out of habit himself
Would never 100% get used to more blatant affection though. Try as he might, he'd always go red and a little speechless
Verbal affection would have just the same effect. You'd listen to him go on about things or compliment him and he'd get so flustered, so smitten with you for actually taking an interest and wanting to hear what he had to say
He might teasingly complain every now and then if you were especially affectionate (especially if it was around the others) but admittedly he'd adore it. And if you were actually deterred by his complaining he'd take it back so quickly lol
You'd just make him feel so special and loved with all your little sweet words and touches. Anytime you weren't around he'd think of them and miss the feeling of your skin against his, and the way his name sounded coming from you
If you were affectionate in a more caring/attentive way toward him he wouldn't even know what to do with it. Like looking after him and encouraging/complimenting him would just leave him with a pleasantly surprised expression, smiling gratefully toward you each time
He would secretly crave affection and sweetness a lot so having a partner who gave it to him willingly without him having to seek it out would make him feel really comfortable/reassured, and he'd appreciate it so much
A/N: My first ever request! I hope you like it because I poured my heart and soul into it, deadass. This is also the longest fic I have ever written with 4.35k words! I know nothing about medicine and medical practices other that my greys anatomy knowledge so please excuse all that, I also made up statistics and plant names for the sake of the story. And a very special thank you too @arieslost for beta reading and listening to me fangirl over this.

Star Wars Masterlist
Life after the fall of the Republic wasn’t easy by any means, especially for the members of the Bad Batch. They had not only lost Crosshair but they lost the very thing they were made for.
The GAR medics and the Kaminoans normally looked after them and their health regards, but now since there was no Republic and they had Crosshair gunning after them it was hard to find good medical help along with any supplies that weren’t black market. And it was after a deal gone bad for Cid on Lothal that they met Y/n. It was by the pure luck of the maker that you found the batch when you did. Wrecker had been trying to show off and take down the squad of imperial troops and in the process had been shot through the plastoid armor. The batch seemingly out of supplies, hence why they were on this job in the first place, and had no idea what to do. You were walking back from your shift at the local cantina when you heard a commotion in the alleyway. Against better judgment you peeked around into the alley way to see 4 silhouettes, three huddled around one that was propped against the wall.
“We need to get him to a med center or he’ll bleed out,” voice 1 proclaimed in a matter-of-fact tone.
“We know Tech, but how are we supposed to bring him to a med center on a planet that is swarming with imperials, its all of us signing our death certificate,” a second voice responded to the first.
“I was only informing you of the urgency of the situation, we have no bacta patches nor shots back on the ship so I can be of no aid.”
Now there were a few options you could do: you could help, leave them be, or if you cared enough find some imperial troopers you could turn them in. Luckily for them you didn’t give two bantha shits about the Empire to turn over this group of men, so that left you with option one and two. On one hand they could be a group of criminals that were dangerous and could kill you with no hesitation, or one the other hand they could be just a group of people that were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Crusing yourself for poor self-survival skills you approached the group cautiously.
“Excuse me,” you began. You didn’t get very far in your sentence before you were face to face with blasters that the three mobile men were holding.
“Take a step closer and I’ll shoot,” the one with the bandana stated.
“I’m not here to hurt you or your friend, I overheard your conversation. If you are trying to hide from the Empire I suggest keeping your voices down. But I can help, I was going to school to become a medic before the Empire took over. Please your friend here looks like he is going to pass out soon.” The three men looked at each other and you waited for the go-ahead from at least on of them.
“If you try anything I won’t hesitate to pull this trigger, do you understand me?” Bandana boy asked, in which you rapidly shook your head in reply.
You proceeded to dump your belonging on the alley way floor looking for the basic aid kit you had in there. Life after the fall of the Republic wasn’t easy for you, you spent most of your academic years studying to become a trauma medic to help serve on the front lines of the GAR. It was your duty to give back somehow to the Republic, but then it was announced that the war was over and the that the Republic was to be reorganized into the first galactic empire, it didn’t seem right, that the war was over that fast. There was no time to dwell on these thoughts as you finally found what you are looking for in your bags small medical case, a stim and a bacta patch. Wonderful things stims are, especially for field medics, it gets most of the brunt work done in a small dose and the bacta patch for the skin wound.
“There you go, you should be all good now, try not to put much strain on the shoulder, the wound might be healed but using it while sore may cause long term damage,” you tell the man you just patched up while handing him a piece of candy you keep in your bag, “something sweet afterwards always helps the mood. Anyways, you guys should be all set, try not to get anymore injuries.” You tell the rest of the group while standing up from your position on the ground.
The one with the scomp link takes a step forward, “Thank you for your help, you didn’t have to. I’m Echo, the one on the ground is Wrecker, the one with the data pad is Tech, and then thre is Hunter, who threatened to shoot you.”
“Y/n,” you introduce, “this isn’t a place for a group of rogue clones to be hanging around, but I can see you already know that,” guestering to the clone you now know as Wrecker.
The four of them look at each other before Tech speaks up, “How did you know-”
“How do I know your clones? Well for the one the armor might be painted but you can still tell by the helmets, and well you kind of all look the same so I made an educated guess based off the two facts I had.”
“Is there anything we can do to repay you? We don’t have much but we could probably be something we can offer.” Hunter offers.
“I heard you have a ship, yes?”
“Yes, we do.”
“Well I want passage off world, you need a chain code now to leave the planet on a public transport, a chaincode that I don’t have, and I want off world as fast as possible, deal?”
“Deal.”
The batch returned to Ord Mantell with Y/n, promising them that after they dropped off Cid’s cargo they would bring them to the planet of their choice. It was while they were in the back dealing with Cid that Y/n met Omega sitting at the bar and the young girl was enamored with Y/n, asking questions about the planet where they grew up, their medical training, and if that Wrecker would be okay. You were patient, answering every question the child had.
“Will you be staying with us?”
“Sorry kiddo I won’t, I asked them for passage to a planet of my choice.”
“But what if Wrecker gets hurt again and the others don’t know what to do! Or what if something happens and I don’t know enough to help them. I can’t loose my brothers, they’re all I have.” Omega gave you these wide pleading eyes, in which you could only sigh to in response. Luckily enough Hunter and the rest had emerged from the back of the cantina.
“Hunter, Hunter,” Omega calls while running up to him.
“What’s wrong ‘Meg,” he asks concerned while glancing at you.
“They’re a medic you have to convince them to stay with us, we need them. What if something happens to you guys and none of us can help? Then what?”
“Omega, I can’t force Y/n to do anything they don’t want to do, if they want to be dropped off at the next planet that’s what we’re going to do.”
“Statistically speaking Hunter, having a medic aboard will cut injury risk anywhere from 43% to 64% and with proper medical knowledge lower the misuse of medical supplies by half. That and we no longer have access to the GAR nor the Kaminoans medical help,” Tech speaks without looking up from his tablet.
Omega and Hunter both look at Tech and then to you, seemingly waiting your input. “What the hell, why not. I’m in no rush to get to a planet and have to try and rebuild my entire life.” And at that statement Omega let out a whoop of celebration and ran a lap around the cantina until she ended up at you waist giving you a huge squeeze.
Life after the fall of the Republic wasn’t easy for the batch wasn’t easy, but they had Omega and now Y/n.
It had only been a few cycles since you joined the batch and things were going smoothly, more or less. You’ve been getting along with the batch pretty easily, especially Tech and Echo. Due to them not having access to the any of the pervious medical supplies it was hard for Echo to be comfortable in with his prosthetics, you’ve been helping him manage the pain by trying different salves and lotions that you had from Lothal.
Tech on the other hand was eager to learn whatever medical knowledge you were willing to share, due to him perviously being the batch’s medic before you came along, he was eager to see where he could improve. The two of you spent many nights on watch discussing different facts and theories.
“Supposedly on some planets there is this plant, that if you digest the roots it help your cells regenerate faster, I read about it in my textbooks when I was in school,” you tell Tech one night while flying back to Ord Mantell.
“Yes, Irink. Native to Kashyyyk, the planet is known to be home to many interesting varieties of flora, such as ones that rely on the protein of insects to help them survive instead of the usual sunlight and water,” Tech adds.
“Ugh, what I would do to get my hands on that plant, I would even sell one of my own kidney’s,” you sign out while throwing your head against the head rest of the co-pilot seat.
Tech doesn’t say anything to this, instead just cast you a side glance while pulling the ship out of hyperspace. Tech hasn’t said any of this to you but, he finds himself being pulled towards you more and more, whether it might be from the different knowledge you care to share with him, or how your patient with all his little information dumps, or how your eyes crinkle when you slime at a corny joke he manages to make once in a great while.
Landing back at the port on Ord Mantell after another mission was a welcomed familiarity, Wrecker and Omega would go off to get the mantell mix; Hunter, Echo and Tech would go and debrief with Cid and you’d normally do whatever until it was time to leave again.
Today you’d decided to wait for the group to finish up their debriefing with Cid instead of roaming the market, and it was safe to say that none of the three men where happy coming out from the back.
“I don’t like this one, that planet is swarming with imperials. I know we’ve done risky ones before but we’ve been doing too risky too often,” Hunter explains to the other.
Just before you go to ask whats wrong Omega and Wrecker come in with laughs and their tasty treat in hand but they quickly go silent when they see the serious expression on Hunters face.
“Hunter what’s the matter,” Wrecker asks while setting Omega down on a nearby stool.
“Cid wants us to go to Corellia to retrieve a retired bounty hunter who supposedly holds information against some of her former bounty hunters that are in league with the empire,” Hunter explains, “It pays well so we can’t say no, but I don’t like it, we’ve been doing risky too much.”
“Those imperials are no match for us,” Wrecker says while cracking his knuckles and neck.
“Do I need to remind you of the situation of how we all first met?” You quirk.
“Y/n’s right,” Tech says,” our success rate for missions has steadily decreased ever since we been taking more mission on planets with imperial presence.”
“For this one Omega I want you to stay here,” Hunter begins, but Omega is quick to respond.
“But-”
“Omega I want no arguments on this one you understand, Y/n will be staying with you.”
“Woah, woah, woah. Slow down there, why am I staying here? Do you really think that’s the best call here? I hate to be the bearer of bad news but what if something happens like the night on Lothal what will you guys do?” You respond.
“I trust that you have restocked the supplies enough for that if something major were to happen we would be able to hold our own until we got back to you.”
“Personally I think its a crap idea.”
“Well I suggest you better go check the supplies and double check we have what we need bc we leave in a hour.”
You don’t respond to Hunter instead you huff and roll your eyes while walking out of Cid’s and to the Marauder. It wasn’t a long walk to the ship, once you arrived you quickly got to work checking that the med pack had everything they needed for every possible worst case scenario. While on your triple check you hear footsteps coming up the ramp.
“Mesh’la, are you alright,” you hear Tech ask.
“I’m fine Tech.”
“No, your tone of voice is too low for you to be fine, whats wrong.” You turn to face Tech and when you meet his eyes you see the genuine concern and tenderness in them.
“I feel as if something is going to go wrong when I’m not there, I won’t be able to help, I don’t like feeling useless,” You confess.
“Your not useless, mesh’la, in fact you probably have the most important job of all, watching over Omega,” you chuckle at this response, “ and besides,” Tech continues,” since that night we met you on Lothal our serious injury percent rate has been at 0%, which is the ideal percentage.”
“Thank you for that Tech,” you say, “it means a lot but I can’t help but worry, its in my nature.”
“No worries mesh’la I only try to help.”
“What does that mean?”
“What does what mean?”
“Mesh’la, what does it mean?”
“He’ll tell you when he gets back,” Echo pipes in from the door followed by Wrecker and Hunter , “we have to go, we need to leave earlier than expected, everything set to go doc?”
You roll your eyes at the nickname, “Yes Echo everything is ready to go,” you turn to Tech, “everything is in there for any emergency I could think of, just please be careful.”
“We’ll try,” Hunter says.
You walk towards the ramp but before you descend you look at Tech and say, “I expect you back in one piece, I want to know what mesh’la means.” To which he doesn’t reply but as he nods his head you can see the faintest of blush on his cheeks. Tech retreats into the ship and not a moment later you are left in the empty hanger with nothing but worry for the rogue group of clones.
Entertaining Omega is easy once you find something that interest her, and today’s topic of interest is shopping. The markets of Ord Mantell have a lot to offer, especially in food and medical supplies. Each planet has their own variations of salves and herbs used for healing. Being on Lothal most of your life didn’t give you an opportunity to dabble in the other off world stuff, but here you had what ever the sellers had. Omega looked around with curious eyes and pointed towards a container holding a pink-ish colored salve.
“That one is used for burns, most of the pink or reddish tones are, however don’t use them on chemical burns, for those you want to use more of the yellowish tinted one,” you explain while pointing to the container next to it.
“What about poisons?” She asks.
“Well normally you want to use an elixir, and those depend on what kind of poison it is. Elixir’s are known to normally have some of the poison mixed into it.”
The majority of the day continues on like this, you shopping through the market picking up supplies that the batch is running low on and some different salves that might help Echo’s scarring between skin and prosthetics. That night you return to Cid’s for dinner awaiting any news from the batch, nothing comes through that night.
The long wait continued for 2 more days, and Omega and yourself were growing restless. Some missions took longer than others, yes, but this was was too long for comfort. That night while you and Omega were eating your stew when your comm rang, it was fast but it was Hunter saying that they were back and to meet them at the docking bay.
Once upon the Marauder, you gave a once over to all of the guys, sending them on their way after, and while checking Tech you noticed a hand wrapping that wasn’t there when they left.
“What did you do to your hand,” you ask Tech as you unwrapped his left hand.
“Nothing too serious, it was a simple miscalculation on my behalf.”
“Hmmm, you’re right, its nothing to serious but what happened to being careful?” You asked him while re-wrapping his hand in a new bandage.
“Well, I cut it on the gift I got you.”
“You got me a gift?”
“Yes, let me grab it.” Tech said as he left the room.
A gift, why did Tech feel the need to get you a gift? But, before you could give more thought into it he came back in the room with a hand behind his back.
You raised your eyebrow at him, “Well, what is it?”
Tech moves the object from behind him right to your level of sight.
“Tech! No way,” you exclaim, “an Irink, how did you manage to get your hands on this?”
“A wookie vendor was selling a variety of plants and I recognized it from your description, although I suspect he did not know anything about the plant and its rumored abilities.”
“Tech thank you so much! I love it! Will you help me dissect it? I want to harvest and preserve all I can then replant what buds remain.”
“Of course mesh’la.”
“Oh you never got to tell me what that means,” you say as you walk towards the workbench that has Tech’s various projects on it. You set the plant down and start to carefully remove the leaves, buds, thorns, and roots. You feel Tech come up behind you and look over your shoulder.
“Beautiful,” he whispers.
“What?” you ask as you turn your head over your shoulder to look at him.
“Mesh’la it means beautiful in mando’a”
“Your calling me beautiful, but why?”
“Because you are”
Without thinking you quickly press your lips against his cheek, “thank you Tech,” you mutter.
“No problem mesh’la, now how about we dissect this plant.”
A few weeks have passed since the mesh’la incident, much hasn’t progressed between Tech and you, but that was alright for the time being. The two of you, however, have been spending more alone time together. The two of you were in the front of the ship making your way to some back water planet that you have already forgotten the name of.
You were on a simple recon mission, just find the location of a building and report back to Cid, an easy mission for an easy pay check, or so you all originally thought.
You and the batch haven’t even been on the planet for more than an hour when Tech spots imperial troops making their approach, and not even 30 minutes later you are in an abandoned sewage pipes running from the imperial troops on your tail. Before you can run any further you run into the back of a still Echo, and that’s where you hear an unfamiliar voice speak up.
You peak over Echo’s shoulder to see the man, the brother, you’ve only heard stories about.
“What do we have here? Another stray?” Crosshair glances at you, “I didn’t expect you to replace me with a civvie.”
“Crosshair, let us go. This has played out before and you know we’ll get away.”
“Not this time, you see we are at a cross road and I have my troops closing in on every direction, you might be able to run but not for long.”
Panic shoots through you, this was not how you were expecting the day to go, at all. You can see Tech motioning his head up towards Hunter and you move you eyes to where he had just been nodding to. Pipes. Tech must have been scanning the era for any possible distractions. Hunter nods in understanding, and in sync they pull out their blasters and shoot the pipes across from them.
The hall fills with steam, leaving both side to shoot blindly, the blots bounce off the pipes leaving both parties in utter confusion, you hear Hunter shouting for the rest of you to move it and you feel what you presume to be Tech’s hand at the base of your spine leading you in the direction of Hunter’s voice.
One moment you are moving towards Hunter and the others the next you are on the ground screaming in pain. A bolt must of hit the back of your right leg because all you feel is this white-hot fire.
You feel a arm snake around your back and under your right arm hoisting you up from your position on the ground.
“Mesh’la, can you hear me, what happened, are you alright,” Tech asks, voice laced with concern.
“My leg, the blot hit the back of my leg,” you quickly explain as Tech helps you limp along a different path in the tunnels.
“You’re going to be alright, we aren’t far from the ship, my scans indicate that their is an unblocked exit not to far from here, if I help you will you be able to walk til we get there?”
“Yeah, I think so.”
“Tech! Y/n!” Omega and Echo call.
As you and Tech catch up to Echo as he asks, “what happened back there?”
“I was shot in the back of my leg by one of the stray bolts,” you explain through gritted teeth as the pain slowly moves down your leg and up to your hip.
The six of you make your way towards the exit Tech has directed you to, all the while the pain is becoming to much too handle. Your right leg completely gives out and you nearly fall to the ground, taking Tech with you.
“Okay mesh’la, I’m going to have to carry you the rest of the way back, is that alright,” Tech asks to which you weakly nod your head. As he goes to pick you up, his hand grazes the wound causing you to let out a small sherik of pain, “I’m so sorry Y/n, that wasn’t my intention.”
The rest of the journey is rough, the terrain is rocky making it hard for Tech not to jostle you around, eventually you make it back to the Marauder and Tech quickly set you down on a bunk to go grab your med kit.
The shot was closer towards the top of your kneecap, thankfulling missing your knee tendons. Tech came back with the med kit in hand and make work or removing the fabric of your right pant leg to see the wound.
“Okay so what you are going to need to do first it-” you begin to explain to Tech but you are cut off when you see he has already started the first and second step.
“Mesh’la I know this is your job but please, let me do this for you. I’ve taken notes of all the things you’ve explained to me before, just please let me do this,” he tells you with a slight crack in his voice. You simply nod your head at this and continue to let him work.
Tech works fast and efficiently, patching you up quicking. Once done he helps you sit up against the headboard of the bunk with both your legs stretched out in front of you while he is kneeled on the ground to your side.
“The bacta should kick in soon, but the recovery process won’t be easy, the wound wasn’t deep, thankfully missing the back of all your tendons, and major arteries. Your muscles will be sore for a while, and you skin should be irritated,” he explains while his hands grasp yours.
“Well, this will just give me the excuse to try the Irink now, won’t it”, you smirk to Tech.
Tech lets out a sigh as he stands, “You really scared me today, I was so scared. I didn’t know what was going on all I know is that we were moving away and then you were screaming.”
“Tech, I’m okay, nothing major happened, I was scared too. Its part of the risk I take going with you guys.”
Tech just rubs his fingers under the bridge of his googles sighing, he leans down and kisses the top of your head.
Unsatisfied with this, you pull him down by the collar of this exposed blacks and press your lips to his. Tech slowly wraps his fingers around the back of your head, pressing your lips further into his. You slowly pull away, foreheads remain touching.
“That was nice,” Tech says.
“That is was.”
“We should do that again.”
“For research purposes?”
“For research purposes,” he says as he places both his hands on your cheeks and pulls you in for another sweet kiss.
Life after the fall of the Republic wasn’t easy for Tech or Y/n but for now Tech had his brothers, sister and Y/n; and Y/n had Tech and the rest of the bad batch.
I tried @fabulousapple and I hope you like it! It’s based on this post hope everyone that reads enjoys:)
The situation is one you never thought yourself to be in. Yeah, sure you've hidden in a supply closet with Tech and Echo but those were two separate occasions both having two different outcomes. You never thought to have them both pressed up against you such a small capsule.
You wiggle and shift trying to figure how much space is really left between you but Tech's hands catch your hips and you turn to look over at him. There's a warning in his eyes and you give a little nod as you turn back to face Echo.
"Tech, tell me again why I couldn't go with Omega?" You question as your grip tightens on Echo's shoulders as AZI maneuvers our pod from the falling debris
"We were out of time" Tech answers as he bumps you as the pod is jerked to the right
Echo studies your face, your bottom lip is caught between your teeth as your brows are knit together in worry. He moves his hand from the cold glass to cup your face when you try to look over at where the glass in the pod had cracked.
"We'll be at the surface soon" Echo smiles softly despite the fear lacing his tone
"Oh- Echo are you- Tech, Echo needs more room" You wiggle yourself back only to be pulled closer than before "We've been though worse" a hint of humor in his tone and you smile as you nod
Tech lets out a nervous chuckle as he tries to pull you back a little. The close proximity of you and Echo lit a small fire inside him that’s growing each minute you both share eye contact, he can hear the hitch in your breath as he watches your hand slowly cup Echo’s exposed neck. He doesn’t know what came over him but he pushes himself up against you and hears the gasp of surprise leave your lips.
"Tech!" It comes out more breathy than you intended it too, you turn to look at him and he leans forward pressing pressing the part of his helmet where his lips would be to your temple and you feel your cheeks grow hotter and you turn away and press your forehead into Echo's shoulder.
Echo glares at Tech. His brow rising in an almost challenging manner. He didn't think Tech would enjoy behind this close to you, close enough that your scent is overpowering their own. Even Echo can feel the rise and fall of your chest against him, the way it would quicken. He wonders what Tech could feel on his side of every thing and he wonders if he would be jealous by it. He thinks for a moment as he feels your grip on his shoulders and the way you cuddle closer and he knows for sure, he wouldn't be. After all he has the greatest view of them both.
Tech licks his lips as his grip on you tightens, he press himself closer. He knows what's it's like to be facing you in such close proximity but to be behind you is a whole different experience. He sees the way the muscles in your back tighten and loosen when either one of them gives you a comforting touch. He can see the way your pulse quickens in your throat when his grip on you grows tight or when he presses himself into he sees the way it stops before speeding up. He doesn't want to say you like it but he thinks that maybe if this was any normal day inside a supply closet the outcome could be rewarding. Not just for him but for the other two in front of him as well.
The Pod shoots up and onto it's side. Your entire body crushed between the two. Echo's weight caught you off guard and causes you to let out a pained gasp as pieces of their armor dig into you. You start to wiggle and shift under Echo's weight. The armor feels like it's cutting into your skin.
"Don't-" Tech pauses as he lets out a small groan "Don't move like that" he finishes as his fingers dig into your skin and his fingernails are no doubt leaving crescent shaped marks behind "Get the door" He orders
You see the panel and wrap your arm around Echo pulling him closer as you reach up and your fingers tap the small circle in the middle and the door opens. Echo is quick to push himself off as he pulls you with him. You lean into him and close your eyes, His arms wrap around you as Tech's hand rests on your shoulder.
"Are you okay?" Tech asks lowly and you pull yourself from Echo to look over at Tech and smile
"I'm okay, are you two okay?" You ask looking between the two and they nod before turning over too see the damage.
You sit on your bunk once back on the ship. Your hand working at the knots in your neck as you try to think of anything but Tech and Echo. They both knew exactly how to calm you and keep you sane in that moment when you needed it. You know for sure if you had been with Omega that you would have panicked more. You knew you or Hunter would have to talk to about the stunt she had just pulled but right now you just wanted to take a few minutes if not hours to yourself.
“Hey” You turn to smile up at Echo as he takes a seat next to you “You did good, I know it can’t have been an easy or even comfortable-” You cut him off as you grab his shoulder, turning him to face you
“I was comfortable, I always am with you” You lean forward to press your lips into his shoulder that is now free of his armor “I know you probably think I need space but-” You pause as you look over to where Tech sits in the pilots chair “-but could you maybe just stay with me until we get back to Cid’s?” You ask and he smiles as he nods
You let him crawl in the bed his back pressed against the wall and you cuddle in closer. Letting out a content sigh as you wrap an arm around him, he’s softer than when he wore his armor. It’s nice to feel the way his heart beats in his chest, to feel his warmth so close. You could stay like this forever but something is missing. You wonder if he feels it too, and you look up at him. His hand begins to run up and down your back and you push yourself up to press a hesitant kiss to the corner of his mouth and you feel him stiffen as he looks at you with wide eyes.
“What was that for?” He asks as he relaxes a little and a soft smile grows on his lips
“I know today can’t have been easy for you” You whisper and he nods “You don’t have to talk about it now if you don’t want to but I’m here for you” You smile as you lean down once more and press a soft kiss to his lips to which he kisses back as his grip on you tightens, pulling you closer before he pulls back and you both lay there in silence relaxing.
Tech turns back in his chair to see you and Echo. He gets up from the chair knowing Wrecker or Hunter would take over. He walks over slowly before kneeling down beside the bed. You turn and smile at him.
“Room for one more?” He questions and his eyes flash between you and Echo, you both end up nodding and he discards his armor just next to the bed before climbing in next to you. He wraps an arm around your waist knowing Echo has his wrapped around your hips. He snuggles close and presses a kiss to your neck.
“Get some sleep, Cyar'ika” Tech whispers “We will both be here when you wake up” he adds as he looks up at Echo. A silent agreement made there, that neither of them will fight over you but rather share you just like this.
Hope everyone that reads enjoys! I really like this one :) my requests are open and feedback is welcome :)
“I’m sorry, what?” Tech’s brows knit together as he eyes the reg. Did he just dare him to kiss you? He looks over to you where you sit. Your eyes are wide as you fiddle with the rag you were using to wipe the oil and grime from your hands.
“You said dare and I’m daring you to kiss y/n” The reg smirks as you glare at him
Tech originally had come over to ask if you could assist him with fixing something on the Marauder. He didn’t mean to get caught up in the game that seemed innocent enough until now. Well, a kiss is innocent but to kiss you? He’s thought about it but he would never act on it. He just didn’t want to start something with you when he knows that with the war you and him are busy. Not to mention that he is away a lot the distance would put a strain on the relationship.
“Blu, that’s not- ” You start but stop as Blu glares over at you
“What’s the matter? Are you scared?” Blu taunts as he looks from you over to Tech
Tech scowls at Blu before glancing back over at you. He can’t get a read on what you want, you're angled away from him as where before the dare had been spoken you were facing him. He can chalk that up as to when he walked into the room he had called your name but not stating the purpose as to why he wanted you. He searches your eyes and there is an emotion behind them and he can’t quite pinpoint what it is because you look away from him far too quickly.
A low rumble fills the room before the room erupts in ‘Kiss her’ and his cheeks heat up. He half expects to hear Hunter tell the room to cut it out. He looks over at him and sees the haziness in his eyes he knows that is not likely to happen. He grips the data pad in his hands before standing, he points a finger at Blu wanting to tear into him for not taking your feelings into account.
“Just kiss me” Your shaky voice catches him off guard and he looks over at you as he lowers his hand. He finally sees the longing in your eyes and he fights the urge to walk right up to you and do as you ask
“What?” He questions, his eyes softening
“Just kiss me, Tech” You plead and his legs turn to jelly as butterflies erupt in his stomach “They’re not going to stop” you add and Tech slowly starts to shake his head because he can't bring himself to cross the small space between you two
“I’m not kissing you” Tech catches the hurt that flashes across your face and just as he is about to tell you why he's interrupted
“That should confirm it then” Blu looks over at you “He doesn’t have feelings for you” he snickers
The silence in the room causes everyone to shift awkwardly. That’s not what Tech meant by that at all and he looks to you. Your eyes are on Blu, your hands clenched tightly. Before anyone even has time to react, you're throwing a punch.
Blu falls onto his back, his hand clenching his nose. Hunter seems to have been snapped back to reality as he rushes to stand in front of you, his hand inches from Blu's chest. Wrecker comes up behind the two as Crosshair stands. Each one ready to defend you from the few regs in the room.
“Go cool off” Hunter growls out as your shaking your hand to try and rid the pain “Let me take a look at that” Hunter turns to you, taking you hand in his
“Talk to her, clearly she has feelings for you and you just broke her heart” Crosshair put his hand on Tech’s shoulder “or don’t doesn’t matter to me”
Tech watches Crosshair leave the room. He looks over to where you stand with Hunter. Your hand is still in his as you rub at the few tears that escaped your eyes with your sleeve. He put his data pad in one of his many pouches before walking over. He puts his hand on Hunter’s shoulder and Hunter turns to him and nods, understanding right away.
Tech doesn’t know where to start. What Blu had said confirmed that you do in fact have feelings for him. He doesn't know why he questioned it in the first place. You always smile the brightest when you see him and you're always the first person he wants to see when he lands. You're the one he trusts to help work on his ship, his home away from home. So what the hell is he doing? For once he feels stupid. He's been holding you at arms length because what? Distance? Obviously that hasn't played a factor in your feelings for him or his for you.
“Blu didn’t mean anything by what he said” You break him from his thoughts “He's drunk” you laugh awkwardly
“Blu seems like an ass” Tech states as he faintly smiles at you and you return the same smile as your eyes begin to gloss over
“Do you want to know why I didn’t want to kiss you?” Tech asks and you start backing up jabbing a thumb behind you
“I have stuff to do, loads of reports and shipping schedules” You begin to head towards the door, head hung low as your hand comes up to sooth the lump forming in your throat
“I didn’t want our first kiss to be because of a game” Tech blurts out and you stop just as the door slides open, your brows furrow and your hand moves from your throat to cover your eyes.
He watches you closely and your shoulders begin to shake and your arm wraps around yourself. He slowly walks over to you, his hand hesitantly reaches out to touch your shoulder and you slowly move out of his touch. You let out a shaky breath as you wipe at your eyes and turn to him, a forced smile on your face.
“I understand that I just don’t want you to start anything that you can’t finish, you said before the distance will put a strain on any relationship you try to have” You voice wavers and he frowns shaking his head
“That doesn’t mean we just give up, I know what I said before but we both understand it, and I know that I want to be with you, and you want to be with me, so who’s to say it won’t work out unless we try?” He watches as you debate this and he half expects you to just walk out. Rejecting the idea completely and he wouldn't blame you.
“Are you sure this is what you want?” You ask him and Tech takes a moment to think about it before nodding his head “Okay” you say with a nod
He opens his arms for you and you gladly accept his hug. He holds you tightly against him, his hands rubbing up and down your back. Why did it have to come to this for him to actually accept that maybe he doesn’t want to be alone in all this? He does want you that he won’t deny. He’s been so headstrong about not wanting to put you through the strain of distance and the fact that he might die.
He’s robbed himself and you from time that could have been spent together. He could have been holding you like this, he could have had many kisses with you, and instead of sleeping alone that could have been done with you. There was so much you both could have done, all this time wasted. He'll make it up to you that he promises.
“Tech, I wasn’t lying when I said I had a ton of reports and shipping schedules to look at” You mumble against his shoulder and Tech reluctantly lets his arms fall
“I can help you” he says with a smile “and then we can go see how you can help me fix the Marauder” you nod happily
He begins to follows you out the door, but instead he pulls you back and press his lips softly to yours, your lips soft and welcoming. It spread a smile on his face as he begins to pull back, his eyes opening only to close again when your pull him back. Your hands gripping his face and his hands shot up your sides pulling you closer to him. The kiss is hungrier than the soft one he's given you second before. It sends chills up his spine and goosebumps to rise on his skin. He moans into your mouth and you finally pull away.
His eyes still closed as he swipes his tongue over his lips chasing the taste of you. His eyes slowly flutter open and your loving eyes make him smile brightly. He's out of breath and he wants more, but you’re already pulling him to the hangar to get to work. He makes a note to kiss you more often. He can't wait to make up the wasted time.
