for the past, however many hours this tune has been stuck in my head-
It Must Be Real by Edwyn Collins
it's been stuck in my head because the tune felt way too familiar to me. and just now, i landed on why!
the bleeps sound to me quite like: "Everything You've Come To Expect".
Also reminds me of Once Upon A Time TV show's Snow White's theme in it when the piano is present towards the middle-end of the track.
(except for the last piano note, which is throwing me off because it reminds me of something else, too, but i just can't pinpoint it currently 😑. and also for the 0.55 piano notes that happen all at once reminds me too much of something i can't pinpoint at the moment 😑. Will report back when I've those two mysteries figured.)
This also reminds me of: the ending of "The Ultracheese" & the introduction of "There'd Better Be A Mirrorball"
with i think a Glenn Miller Moonlight Serenede-esque in it too towards the end:
Also, when i figured the equation of EYCTE i went back to "It Must Be Real" and the lyrics in it began to read as anew to me.
these are them...
(screenshotted from google digitally annotated by me)
the first verse totally doesn't read like a predestined script for any mini film where two fellas are buried up to their necks with the tide washing in on em at all... (though could it possibly be? 🤔 who knows 🤷♀️ simply a very cool parallel!)
3rd verse annotations - my idea: Jet Skis On The Moat.
also Miles has covered him before - A Girl Like You is a Edwyn track from Edwyn's Album titled "Gorgeous George" haven't stopped playing it on repeat btw either versions.
