i have a really hard time reading iwtv and seeing Louis constantly call Claudia his lover and say how she's sooo "seductive", like when that happens i genuinely have to take a deep breath and close the book for a moment. i know that even though she's stuck in the body of a child her mind keeps growing older, but even in the first moments when she's turned into a vampire, when she's still mentally a child, he already speaks of her like that. mind you, that's his daughter. HIS 5 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER.

i've seen some people talk about this and apparently these kind of relationships are a little common in Anne Rice's work, but me personally am still not used to it. i already expected their dynamic to be somehow incestuous because i have seen the movie multiple times, but in the book it's just so much more obvious and makes it a bit of a hard read for me at some points.

i finished watching s2 of Interview with the vampire last night and i'm IN PIECES. i didn't expect it to be that sad but i bawled my eyes out. at least there's the 3rd season aka The vampire Lestat so i still get to see my babies again, but i'm kinda scared to watch it and getting disappointed that it's not as good as the first ones. anyway, i just wanted to say how wholesome is that feeling of getting really into something and becoming part of that fandom, then you start to only think about that new interest 24/7, and you watch the funniest interviews and prettiest edits, dive deeper into the lore, become fan of the actors and actresses in it, etc. i put away watching this for so long because in my head the 1994 movie was already a masterpiece, but honestly the show is way superior
