to make up for the radio silence this summer! storytime!! of a cool thing that happened!! cool things don't happen a lot, but i'm not gonna bog y'all down with stories of me getting beat up--

so, anyway, i made a new friend! like. a spider friend. from another universe and everything!!

i'm personally really antsy about visiting random universes without A) a good reason to be there (i.e. a cluster mission) or B) knowing at least one person who lives there. i always worry that if there's another spider there that the sudden appearance of MORE spiders will cause them more trouble. but! turns out! other people don't worry about that!

so in early june(?) i was just swinging around, doing my thing. And then my brain was like brrrrrrrr you should dodge brrrrrrrr. and i'm like "dodge? dodge what??"

then i swing directly into another person.

which considering the fact i'm a few stories in the air? WILD!

anyway, i didn't really know what was like. happening?? so i kinda just grabbed the person and swung over to a roof because like. people being that high up? not good news normally!

so we're on a roof now and i kinda go over my normal routine with people like "howdy! are you hurt? do you need any help?" and then i actually take a look at the person i just slammed into.

they're wearing a bright purple morph suit, the (and i say this with a lot of affection) dumbest goggles over their face, and a spiderman (you don't get a hyphen today) t-shirt.

and we get to talking.

turns out! her name is robbie, she's from a different universe, and is also a spider! and i'm like "woah. EPIC!"

anyway we're friends now and i'm gonna make them get a tumblr eventually. i've been pestering her about it for a while, but they've been forgetting <3

so. yeah!! a good thing happened this summer :-))

i got zero braincells and a feedback loop of forgetting luna is 24 nearly every day. she’s got untapped big sister energy (kind of; she’s a natural caretaker sort anyway, but that’s in general i think) and also a lifetime of experiences to make up for because i have a lot of thoughts about her weird space as technically one of the most powerful people in eos but also growing up as a political prisoner & how that was enforced by ravus to the point where sometimes she wasn’t even allowed to leave her room
