Thought Bubble 2014 Cosplay part 2
So, people of Thought Bubble...amazing!
Seriously, everyone was so nice and had such kind words to say about The Pride. People were genuinely happy to see a book like it available out there, which was awesome.
I even got to see wonderful fans I met last year, including the mother who bought copies of The Pride for her teenage son who had recently come out. She updated me that he enjoyed the comics and things are going fine for him, which was so awesome to hear. Really made my weekend.
Also present was Stiffs super-fan, Jonathan, whom we met two years ago cosplaying as Hawkeye, now staff at the show, and he was as enthusiastic as ever, and a total sweetheart, sending people to our table to check out the comic and helping us any way he could. He was absolutely stellar, like all the staff.
I met someone who went to the Rainbow Age event organised by Biz earlier in the week, an event that had been influenced to be made by an article I wrote for Bleeding Cool discussing the dearth of LGBT events at UK comic cons, and he really enjoyed it, decided to check out The Pride, and agreed that this kind of event was sorely needed, so that was also awesome.
Next year, I am planning to go back to T-Bubs in a big way and really kick ass there. So I cannot WAIT for Thought Bubble 2015!
