Welcome to TBFicRecFridays! Our Mission - to boldly go through the archives to re-circulate our favorite fics and give the authors some love for their amazing work while sharing stories with our community. To put good story juju out into the universe. We are a few weeks in now, but it’s still fairly new. So if you would like to join in with fic recs (and I would love if you did), here are the few rules:

1)  Reblogging and seconding the rec is welcome, but if you have the inclination to add a comment or join the conversation, please share also with the author via reviews, favorites, bookmarks, or etc.

2) Do not share snippets of the work without permission from the author.

Notes from Gavii:. I am pretty sure this might have been when the bug jumped from John (who was my first love) to Gordon - though let’s be real, I really do love all our boys. This one is an adventure story with a helping of whump and angst to boot. You can expect our boys protecting each other, a hostage situation that turns dire rather quickly, and a major side of guilt.  [also yes I am changing my date format because I forgot not all places order them the same]

Notes from Gavii:  I love stories with John and Gordon - I call them science!bros - but I think a lot of it can be explained as this concept juxtoposition.  One is the eye in the sky and the one is called by the deep sea. In their passions they are so opposite, but it’s in that you also see their similarities. I very much felt connected to John and Gordon when I first got into Thunderbirds, and so even today it may be obvious they are among my favorites.  This story is a helluva ride and a character study at the same time, and it’s another that has always stuck with me. Without giving too much away - how far the brothers will go to prove themselves and protect each other with some flaws apparent and mistakes made along the way. 

I would give this one a general TW for stressful situations. 

It’s an amazing fic. I hope you enjoy, and please go give the story some love where it’s posted.

Hey there! I’ve been off work all week, which you would think would give me more time but surprisingly it makes my brain more scattered. So I have not prepped a ficrec  from my archives of favorites for today, and I don’t want to rush and do a poor write up. So today is kind of a skip for me. Don’t forget! FicRecFriday is for everyone - so if you have a story to share please do so. 

In the meantime I still wanted to spread some love for fic so I hope this is okay to be a bit informal - here are just a few stories I read this week because I am still trying to catch up on some stuff I missed while I wasn’t involved in Thunderbirds

Notes from Gavii: I adore this fic, another golden find in my favorites list from back in the day. Angst and Whump with a TW: Gunshot wounds. But some H/C and what we call now as Earth & Sky. This is such a good 1st person pov story, and the Scott voice just feels so *chef’s kiss*.

TB Fic Rec Friday

Okay, I’m reccing two crossover fics, mostly because one is a sequel to the other. They’re by cathrl, who writes in both the Thunderbirds fandom and the Battle of the Planets fandom. Her Battle of the Planet fics are a bit AU but not too bad. You can enjoy both of these stories even if you don’t know much about the other fandom. I reread these quite often!

I highly recommend Incognito, by Silver Bee. Not only is it a Brains and Tin-Tin fic, it puts them in a position where their talents just shine. 

When trouble strikes a London nightclub, International Rescue are there to save the day. Aren't they...?
