‘Til you’re draped in rags ripped off of a maggot-infested corpse, a cold leash tethered to your ankle, the surrounding walls are dark brickwork covered in excrement and dried blood. None of which are yours.
Your skin will be left ashy and bruised. Your hair matted and dry. Your cheeks gaunt, your body eating away at what’s left of your fat as a means of protest for food that isn’t riddled with mold. Your poor body doesn’t realize those days are long gone…and you were too late to realize it.
