[Chelsea arrives home]
Johnny: Chelsea? What are you doing home?
Paul: We thought you were staying at Matilda’s.
Chelsea: Well…I lied. Matilda and I made a bet with a boy at school that we could stay all night at a spooky house in Moonwood Mill.
[Paul DiMarco-Haim: Chelsea's Papa]
[Johnny DiMarco-Haim: Chelsea's Dad]
Johnny: Chelsea! Do you have any idea how dangerous that is? Something could’ve happened to you and we wouldn’t even know you were there.
Chelsea: Believe me, I know. I’m really sorry I lied.
Paul: It better not happen again. I take it you two got too scared?
Chelsea: No! Well, yeah. But it’s not what you think. We saw some sort of creature. It started to chase us but then it went right past us.
Paul: It was probably some sort of big dog or something.
Chelsea: No, it wasn’t! There was a man, and he turned into this…thing. Like a werewolf! We both saw it. You have to believe me!
Johnny: If you say you saw it, then I believe you.
Chelsea: Thanks, Dad.
Johnny: I know what it’s like to tell an adult about something harmful and have them not believe you. I don’t want you to ever feel that way.
Paul: I believe you, too. But Chelsea, you have to promise you’ll never do something like this again. You could have…well, I don’t even want to say it.
Chelsea: Trust me, I learned my lesson. Next time George tells me girls are too scared to do something, I’ll just punch him in the face.
Johnny: That’s our girl!
