Me after becoming Holden's yume while I'm a boy, when he uses the word “faggot” in the book
No, it’s not that you think Holden is annoying and ungrateful it’s just that you can’t relate to mental health issues, regardless of your economic or social status!! :3
I literally can't write heterosexual characters I even ship Mary, my LOTF OC, with Phoebe from CITR...
I love The Catcher in the Rye so much. It’s wonderful to read a book that doesn’t romanticize adolescence as if it were the best thing in the world, or constantly repeat that it’s the best stage of life, and to read about a character who feels the same way even while going through the worst mental turmoil imaginable and who might even think that his adolescence is the worst stage of his life so far
Seriously, if you want to see mental health issues portrayed during the most romanticized stage of life, read the book. I literally cry every time I remember that it’s one of the first books to delve into the subject beyond the typical teenage rebellion.
I don't care what anyone says, Holden is my boyfriend, and we love each other so much we're super gay and happy and those who say that yume shipp is lame are just jealous that Holden and I do a lot of yaoi
