it had all started with her seeing a clockwork meka and saying something about how she could take it with her bare hands -- apparently wriothesley didn't believe her . all she could do was scoff .
she wasn't one to take things to heart , but perhaps after leading an army one becomes slightly sensitive when a declaration of their skill is met with skepticism . so when the two continued to traverse the landscapes of fontaine once more , at a point she stopped abruptly , her feet twirling as if she wasn't wearing those horrifically hard to wear getas , and she grabbed his arm , grip not letting up for just a second even though they were , well , acquaintances .
she wasn't sure about wriothesley , but for her the action lasted a mere second . her grabbing his arm , then hauling his entire body over hers in one swift motion as if he weighed nothing . and sara never gloated , no , but she needed to stifle a smug smile at the sight of him on the ground below her .
" you shouldn't gawk if your enemy flips you to the ground . " she lectured , hands on her hips . " didn't you know that you're giving them an opening ? " :>
before he knew it , the tengu had hand around his arm , firmly grasped which all but surprised him in the moment . once he felt a surprising amount of power forcing his heavy boots to leave the ground , he felt the weightlessness of being thrown over her shoulder for what felt like several minutes . in reality , it took here mere seconds to catch him off guard and flatten his back against the ground with a soft ' oompf . '
he wasn't injured , save for his pride perhaps , but that feeling was quick to disappear once silver shades of sharp stare found her standing over him , now able to admire her from a new angle . . . admire ? what was he thinking ? his rendered speechlessness finally would end , raspy baritoned voice answering her , " well . . . I never usually keep my guard up when in the company of friends - but if you plan to surprise attack me like this , next time I won't hold back . "
