Why are they all faceless, you may ask?

Well, they were never supposed to have a face of their own.

One may wonder, how does Fёdor make a living for nine people? It's actually pretty simple - he's not doing it alone!

In the Deck AU, after some time, Fёdor realises he won't be able to do everything on his own without collapsing from exhaustion, so he asks the clones for help. This time though, they make a plan how to handle university, two jobs and other things together.

Usually it's the three of them - Fёdor, Kuromaku and Spade - who work on it and take most active part in executing it. Kuro genuinely wants to help but also he and Spade (and all the other clones actually) desperately want to communicate with the outside world - and this is their only option, all things considered.

Felix loves sports and talking to other people at university, but he hates classes where he has to sit quietly for an hour and a half. Sometimes he goes to work though.

Romeo is not a big fan of doing actual job but he can handle work and classes. He also likes going to uni (he flirts with pretty girls out there). He's not allowed to go to university as Fёdor after the incident.

Brolly is too scared to go anywhere as Fёdor, especially after his first day at university went so badly. No one pressures him to do so to not spike up his anxiety, but he's offered to try anyway.

Waru is not allowed to go ANYWHERE as Fёdor until he proves he's able to do anything without messing things up for fun. He hates that but he doesn't want to change his attitude either. Funnily enough, he's more reliable than some others in this house, but he doesn't show this side of him that much.

Whenever Fёdor tries to ask Dante or Gabriel to take part in the schedule, those two mysteriously disappear out of sight.

Deck AU has its own card designs with card clothes for each clone. New official designs were posted very much after I started working on the AU, so they won't be used.

Before the events of The Deck, after finding out about the shared pain thing, for a short moment Fёdor thought he was untouchable

He was, in fact, not.

The others didn't like that. After this stunt, no one ever tried to hurt Fёdor again, and in return he stopped abusing the perks of the weird magic clone system

Character Introduction: Raya

With another part of the Prologue a new character appeared in the story. Meet Raya! An outgoing woman in her early 40's with love for everything magical (even if she knows it's not real). Being the old fortuneteller's niece, she inherited the shop and started running it after making renovations for almost a year.

A few small facts about her: - happily married - she is nice, chatty and outgoing but very straightforward so people sometimes confuse it with her being rude - her love for magic comes from her aunt. when she was a kid, she loved listening about it. she especially liked a story about an odd deck of cards that could summon "a few helpers", as her aunt called them. the fortuneteller never said whether the story was real or not - the shop was full of strange stuff when Raya got it, so she spent a lot of time going through it all and wondering what her aunt was even up to - when Fёdor called her and asked to meet and talk about "a very specific card deck the previous owner gave him" and then warned her he will be with a bunch of people who look exactly like him, she thought it was some kind of prank. she immediately rolled with it out of curiosity - after meeting the clones and confirming the magical deck was, in fact, real, she immediately took interest in it and the clones' nature. it's not an everyday occurrence after all!

The Queens storyline is out!

Meet Natalia and her little son Sasha! In The Deck AU Natasha is the queens' summoner who got her magic cards from the Old Fortuneteller 2 years prior to Fёdor. She was given 5 of them - 4 queens and the Red joker - because Natalia desperately needed help and the old woman pitied her. "Go Fish!" and the queens' storyline in TDAU in general is the TRMD's domain. Originally we both agreed that Fёdor won't have the queens' cards but we had different ideas of where these actually end up being. I had my own concept but when TRMD introduced Natasha to me I dropped everything and immediately made it canon to the AU because I just liked it so much. Important note: despite officially being canon to the AU, this storyline wont's appear in the TDAU comic. It's a spin-off sorts.

A little bit of lore:

As I mentioned earlier, Natalia got her cards 2 years prior to Fёdor and in a very small number - it's only 5 cards. It seemed weird to her but she didn't pay much attention to it. After all, she got them for free so no complains. On the other hand, Fёdor was really puzzled as to why his deck lacked a few cards. He didn't even notice that at first. At some point he almost lost his mind trying to find the cards he wasn't given in the first place - he thought he lost them. Eventually, he and other clones agreed that those 5 cards were missing from the start. They couldn't go and ask the Fortuneteller anyway.

A very important note: Natalia is not the Red joker! As for Joker (or Yevgeny, or Jenya, or Jo as we call him), he is also not a clone - he's a separate card being with what basically counts as admin rights. Natasha, while not being the owner of the entire deck, could summon her clones only because she had Joker's card. So yeah, Joker is living with Natalia and the queens so he won't appear in TDAU comic. At the same time, Fёdor got his role as the Black joker since he has this specific card and the rest of the deck.
