The #DS106 Monolith

And, what are we supposed to do with this thing? Play with it, of course. The DS106 Daily Create is celebrating its 2001th daily create with the prompt:

#tdc2001 A DS106 Odyssey

“Today is another marker, our 2001st DS106 Daily Create. Create an image that mashes up the movie 2001 a Space Odyssey with DS106. “

This mash-up and remix started with a previous daily create of mine posted to Flickr, tdc609 “What do we do with this thing?”. Where I created an image showing the coolness of a refrigerator. I then pulled the DS106 png image from the DS106 website and using Photoshop added it as a new layer to the artwork already on the fridge.  Rockylou’s three R’s of DS106: Remember, Reuse and Remix.

Daily create assignment tdc2001 It's out there!

Well this one is special! The 2001 film runs as a theme in DS106 for as far back as I can remember and I do not why. I remember Talky Tina’s scene in the film and remembered making the gif for something to do with DS106 but cannot remember what...anyways, always a pleasure to make a new poster edit for today. The wonderful image for poster  by JUSTIN VANGENDEREN the rest just DS106 editing fun! (Click on the images for better res)
