I will be doing activity checks tomorrow, so be sure to start posting again or send a message in if you need a hiatus. I don't want to lose any of our wonderful characters, so I'm here to help you out if you're having any issues!
Hello Til Death Do Us Part Players and Lurkers! There's been a change of management, so to speak. My name's Jordan and I'll be stepping up as the main admin of this RP. Carlo has been busy with real life things recently and feels that he isn't able to keep the full responsibilities of admin. So, Carlo has decided to pass on the role to me! If you have any questions, feel free to send in an ask! And don't forget that co-admins would still be appreciated, so drop in an app for that if you want. Also, I play the role of Oz in this RP, so you can stop by there for questions as well.
The rain has final subsided, the winds have ceased, and the sun has shown it's face to the citizens of Harper's Island once again. It's a calm new day, but we all eagerly await to see what the storm has left in it's wake.
OOC Notes:
The storm is now over, people are free to go back to their normal lives.
Power is also back on.
Those that I have messaged privately about self para posts may already post them and may choose to share the information they received with any other characters, though think carefully about what information you wish to share.
Anyone with ideas for self paras or want to use their characters as plot triggers may message me. The main ask box is always open for plotting.
The days around the calm island slowly disappear as a loud thunderclap breaks the silence of the island. Dark clouds are gathering overhead and the once clear skies have now turned gloomy. The wind starts to howl, blowing hard all around them. The lights flicker one last time before the power dies out. Within seconds, rain starts to fall, in big, heavy drops. The radio tower still has power, though, and manages to announce that a storm has hit Harper's Island and is expected to last for a few days at most. Filming will not stop, however. Some scenes, though minimal, will be recorded in the rain with a hand-held camera.
OOC Rules:
The event will be held from September 27 to October 6.
All dash conversations and para starters done during the time frame must pertain to the event.
Please tag starters and paras with tddupstorm and tddupstarter.
All other paras and conversations outside of the storm may be continued.
Since not everyone is on the same timezone, this will be a long event to give everyone a chance to experience and play.
The event is mandatory.
Please note that the only places with power are: The Radio Station, The Sheriff's Station, and Il Mare. Everywhere else will have no power, so you can't stay in your room all day.
It will be dark at night. You are free to explore around at your own risk. Flashlights and battery-powered lamps will be available to everyone.
Please like this once you've read the post.
The storm is a good way to interact with someone you haven't done with before, preferably through a para. If you're spotty on ideas, here are a few.
Running into someone along the dark halls of the Candlewick.
Finding someone snooping/stealing something while in the cover of darkness.
Being stranded in someone else's house because of the heavy rain.
Losing a precious heirloom/item/trinket, and needing to find it.
Taking advantage of the storm by dancing in the rain.
Attending the shooting of a scene in the rain.
If you need more ideas, please feel free to ask.
If you have any questions, feel free to let us know! :)
