Happy Friday bookworms! Welcome to the last day of the #TheDevouringGray book tour! . WHAT A BOOK! WOW! Now, I’m not usually a fan of creepy stories as I scare too easily! The Devouring Gray by @christineexists had me creeped out AND completely hooked! I read this book in a single sitting… I literally couldn’t look away from the page. I slipped into bed in the early hours of the morning! . There are four families whose powers defend the town of Four Paths from the beast lurking in the Gray. Violet Saunders has just moved back to Four Paths with her distant mother and isn’t aware of her family history and their connection to the town. Once the true horrors of the town are revealed to her, she must decide who to trust, and how to find her own family ritual in order to control the dangerous and disturbing powers she has too. Destruction and fear surround the town… . The book has an eerie cinematic feel; the unstructured third-person narration skips between characters, cutting between action and revelation. Although I don’t enjoy being scared, I loved everything about this book, especially the bisexuality rep in several of the characters, the deliciously creepy atmosphere and the haunting tone. For me, tone has always been one of the biggest factors in enjoying a book. The Devouring Gray nails it! . #TheDevouringGray #TDGTour #fantasy #booktour #yahorror #horror #bookreview #bookblogger #booknerd #bookaddict #queerstories #lgbt #bisexuality #witchythings #fullybooked #booksbooksbooks #booksofig #booksbooksbooks #strangerthings #tarotcards (at Liverpool) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bwt8cQBnwD7/?igshid=19qak8059t19c
