no the thing about The Daemon-Cages (1x06) is that you can see just how alike Lyra and Marisa are. Like Marisa says she was an emotional child while giving her the tea then after they briefly argue you can see how Lyra shifts into pretending to be good to find an opportunity to escape. She’s just as good as manipulating as her mother and they both just sit there manipulating each other until Lyra gets her out- then they both just scream at each other through the door. They have opposite goals but they’re so so alike, the mother/daughter resemblance is clear.
