went on a walk in Waiorongomai Valley today, and felt like I’d stumbled into a Ghibli film, waiting for a train.
I took this in 2015 when I visited Te Aroha (to climb the mountain with my uni friend).
i think this was from when we started back down the other side? it was 3 hours to the top...

In 1966, Russell Kerr was the director of the New Zealand Ballet. In the autumn and the spring of that year the Ballet went on two road trips, with this Te Aroha performance being in the spring season.
