#te vs fe

While searching for a ENTJ vs ENFJ type contrast I came across your good post on it, but it uses Magneto as an example and as stated in the very post, he’s quite unhealthy and an extreme example. So my next request is:

How can a healthy ENTJ who’s interested in and good with people and a healthy ENFJ who’s into business and good at it be differentiated?

This post should clear it up for you. It’s excellent. :)

Do you think there is an equivalent of Te to your Fe obversation? Aka depends on environment and has trouble accepting other 'objective'/standardized rules than the one they learned?

Sorry for taking so long to get to your question. I had a few theories on this, but I wanted to ask my INTJ friend before answering. Overall, we both feel that no, there would not be a Te equivalent to the Fe observation. Unlike Fe, Te is not based upon social values. It’s focused more on statistics and empirical evidence. It’s, as she said, “centered on using their surroundings in an impersonal way to achieve maximum efficiency.” Observable evidence does not change depending where in the world your from (unless corruption is involved lmao).

That being said, that doesn’t mean that Te-users will never disagree with ‘objective’/standardized rules differing from the ones they learned. However, I would pin this more as an Ni/Si thing. Even if something falls within Te guidelines, if it doesn’t pass the Ni/Si test, it won’t be used. It is in this sense I feel it will change depending on the environment. Rules that makes a workplace efficient in one place of the world may not fit another, you feel me? ESTJs often reject the Te “logic” of an ENTJ and vice versa.

So as a whole, no, I don’t think there is an equivalent that stems solely from Te. Other functions will almost always be involved.

Can you tell me the difference between Fe and Te when they are blunt about people and others? You have described Fe and Te as blunt before but I can't tell the difference. E.g. Fe dom vs Te Dom in being blunt or when angry. Please. Thanks

Dr. Phil is an ESTJ. If you want classic hard-knocks Te-telling-people-off, go watch some of his interview clips on YouTube. This one is the first one I ran across, and it’s hilarious how he responds… total Te. THESE ARE THE FACTS. Here is another clip where he asserts just who is boss, whose show it is, what they are going to talk about, and where he stands with a guest.

Oprah is a Fe-dom (likely ESFJ, though she’s typed ENFJ a lot online). I tried to find the James Frey original interview with Oprah where she really nailed him (as she puts it, she was attacking him not only for herself, but “the millions of people who read your book and thought it was real”) but I can’t seem to locate it. Boo. But here’s a quick clip with Lindsay Lohan where she lays down the Fe. Basically, cut your BS, get your act together, etc. But it also comes with Fe: you’re better than this, I know you can do it, you have a good heart.
