2020 T.E.A. Categories POLL

The poll is open for voting! 

While a lot shorter than last year, this year’s categories poll is just as important. Go, be tempted by the tickyboxes! Provide your choices and opinions!

Also, we have an update on changes to this year’s T.E.A. categories overall:

Rumbelle Revelry and May Day Menagerie won’t be on the ballot this year because they weren’t active. :(

The Best Post-Ep Fic category is hereby retired because, well, there have been no new episodes to tag to.

The Ratings category won’t be on the ballot because there was a clear lack of interest last year.

Some old/lost categories will be brought back, including Best Hamburger Date, Best (Worst) Villain, and Best Horror.

This poll will close on December 31, at 11:59 pm (cst), so get your votes in ASAP!

For Your Consideration

It might be a little on the late side but here it is at last! These are some of the fics that are eligible for this year’s TEAs and the categories I recommend. If you liked them (or you read them and like them) and you feel so inclined it’d be wonderful to see them nominated:

The Long Road: (E) An AU of episode 4x11 and beyond. After failing to make Rumple cross the town line he and Belle must try and deal with the consequences of their actions. Season 4 AU set in episode 11 and after. 

Categories: Best Drama, Rumbelle Secret Santa, Best Mr Gold, Best Belle, Angst (Why? or Hurts so Good) and Best OUAT!AU.

The Deal: (M) To wish for a child is a dangerous thing, Belle knows. As it is to make a deal with a creature as old and as powerful as Mr Gold.  But everything worth having required leaps of faith and bouts of bravery, including love.

Categories: Best Supernatural, Best Creature AU, Rumbelle Christmas in July, Best AU!Gold/Rumple, Best Courtship and SMUT (Romance).

Human Nature: (E) After the zombie apocalypse is averted it’s up to Belle French to rehabilitate a mostly-dead Mr Gold, against advice of the experts and the wishes of the entire town. As she struggles to fan the spark of humanity back into Mr Gold she fails to notice something else kindling between them. 

Categories: SMUT (Romance), Best Horror, Best Woobie!Rum, Best Creature AU, Best Movie AU, Best Courtship, Best AU!Belle and Best AU!Gold/Rumple.

Sleeping Arrangements: (G) Royce Gold finds himself suffering from sleep-deprivation following the departure of his son to college. Finding that his fear of abandonment is keeping him from a restful night of sleep he seeks out a fellow insomniac to share a bed with. Nothing romantic or complicated, merely a mutually-beneficial arrangement. Strictly platonic, or so he tells himself. Over and over.

Categories: FLUFF (Comfort), Best One-Shot, Best First Meeting.

In The Shadows: (T) There’s a town in Maine, a common as any other. And in the town there is a well. And in the well there is a creature. And though for some it is a monster for a lonely little girl it becomes a friend. 

Categories: Best Horror, Best Creature AU, Best AU!Gold/Rumple, Best Villain (Cora).

Belle’s Story: (M) Though it had always been her dream to be a nun and a nurse and travel to Congo to help those in need and provide comfort where she could Sister Benjamin, once Belle French, had resigned herself to a constant state of doubt and failure she was determined to eventually conquer.And then she'd met Dr Gold.

For Your Consideration . . . TEA Awards . . . . .

I know that I haven’t written much lately -- I can give you a million excuses why, but the main reason isn’t inspiration -- it’s that my time management sucks.  But it’s a new year, and I’m committed to trying to do better.  So I thought I’d remind you that yes, I have written lots of stuff that has never won a TEA.  

I’m only listing things that are completed or that haven’t been sitting stagnant for years.  These are the things that I think have the best chance, in the categories that I have listed.  I would certainly appreciate your consideration, and even more your nominations!

The man is badly beaten and unconscious -- and he looks exactly like her husband, Detective Finlay Weaver -- who has been dead for eight years.

Star-Crossed:  This story takes place in the “Catch a Falling Star” verse. Nick and Belle Gold are nearing their 13th anniversary. Their idyllic, blissfully happy life is about to take a sharp turn into difficult times, between dealing with a pre-teen daughter’s sudden shift in attitude, a film role that brings out Nick’s insecurities, the fallout from the strained marriage of Bae and Emma, and a dangerous threat in the form of one of Nick’s new students that neither of them sees coming.

A Life Unexpected:  In order to avoid her annoying ex-boyfriend, Belle French tells him she is dating someone. When she enters Mr. Gold's shop, an unexpected deal occurs.

S.O.S.:  Mr. Gold and his assistant, Belle French, are traveling via Mr. Gold's private boat to a meeting when a wind storm hits. Belle has been secretly in love with her employer for some time. What will transpire between them as they wait to be rescued?

Pillow Talk:  After their encounters with Merida and the Dark Swan, Belle and Rumpelstiltskin return home to work toward fixing their broken relationship. This one shot takes place immediately after the events of 5x06 - "The Bear and the Bow."

Wouldn't It Be Good To Be In Your Shoes?:  A mishap in the pawn shop causes David Nolan and Rumpelstiltskin to switch bodies. Trouble ensues when they try to find a solution to their 'problem' and keep the switch from their wives. Set approximately one month after Season 3 ends.

TEA: For Your Consideration

So.... yeah I have only written 1 fic since I’m new to the OUAT fandom. But I guess people can nominate me and my fic?

I heard it’s TEA time-

I wrote two things this year that i’m pretty proud of- not sure if you saw them but figured I’d add my ring to the hat. ( i know it’s last minute and i may have missed the boat but idk feeling frisky)

For Best AU: A Face for Radio; Night Air's very own wizard of the airwaves, the golden-tongued Rum Skinner does not need or want a producer especially not one that he finds himself tongue-tied around. Belle French, however, intends to prove her value one way or the other. (I plan to finish this in 2019- as soon as I get my Big Bang fic finished. 

For Best MOVIE AU: Elevated Hearts - A While You Were Sleeping Genderswitched AU- Completed!
