One thing about a British hospital stay: there is frequently no shortage of tea! 😅
I hadn't finished the cup that came with breakfast (kinda forgot about it) before someone just brought me another one! (10 a.m.)
Then there was the cup not long before breakfast.
(When they bring the cart in and actually ask, there's also the option of not very good instant coffee. Sometimes I will get that for a change, but they do tea so much better. It's all semi-skimmed/2% milk, but that's better than nothing.)
Mother always called this her “tea wagon.” I believe it was made by the Imperial Furniture Company of Grand Rapids in 1939. I got that date from the seal inside the removable drawer. That would mean that it was either a wedding present to my parents or part of the furniture they purchased with a gift from Mother’s parents “to set up housekeeping.”
There is also a unattached metal label inside the drawer which says Cushman Creations, but I think that may have ended up in this drawer from another piece of furniture.
Finish is “crackle” green. Sometimes Mother let me serve our after school snacks by wheeling the tea cart from the dining room to the kitchen.

Beauty and the Beast is one of my husbands favourite Disney films, as well as one of my own. It is my feel good movie, that I love to curl up under a blanket and watch when I am feeling crappy or I have a bad day.
It does help that Belle is one of my favourite Disney princesses (besides Ariel of course). I love the fact that she is a strong, intelligent woman who knows what she wants, who stands…
