Sooo in Sky: Children of Light, the lore is pretty much left open ended by the devs, so the murals and spirits and lands themselves are like...lil hints of lore. And that's leading me to believe is that I gotta stare at everything for a bit just to gleam some lore for my curiosity's sake TwT
Yet, I'm actually having fun noticing lil details when I pay attention to more than my daily candle run. Idk if anyone's noticed what I'm gonna mention, so lemme know if I'm riding someone else's brain cell on this!
For example, I enjoy how in the battlefield area you can see the two types of shield emblems throughout it, but my favorite detail was the fact that it looks like the shields with the sun(?) symbol were on the defence, while the diamond shields were on the offense in this battle that took place.
And another detail I noticed was that in that Elder's cutscene, they hold the sun symbol shield, even though the rest of their outfit has diamond accents.
So that leads me to wondering if that Elder, and possibly the Vaults Elder (as I like to headcanon that the Wastelands Elder was protecting them also, not just the Vault itself per se), were a major part of some sort of rebellion, maybe? Because while you see the sun symbol throughout the game, you also see the diamond one a lot more often when it comes to the Elders. (Or if not rebellion, then they were a part of the not-rebels and just needed a new shield?)
(Also on the topic of those two Elders, their vibes scream 1 and 8 from the movie 9, but less coward leader/brawny henchman and more "religious" scholar meets devoted warrior (gladiator?). Idk, might just be me projecting my love of that trope, since theres zip on interactions with these characters.) *Edit: Changed 2 to 8, I don’t know how I spaced that he was 8, not 2, in the movie 9.
