Bangtan's anniversary special!
Ever since original biology teacher had been sick, everyone was wilding around, doing whatsoever bullshit, celebrating about the free period that you all just got. Mr. Jeon was the substitute teacher, and unlike Ms. Bass, he would let the class free. He had a cold and caring attitude at once, something rare a teacher would have. He was different from all other teachers, in a good way. Everyone had a feeling that they could trust him. "Alright, I don't care whether you've heard this or not, but your original biology teacher is pregnant. She won't be teaching you until the rest of the year, so I'm your new biology teacher."
Having him for like more than 6 months?!? Man this is gonna be fun. You could hear some girls squealing from the back, totally understanding how they feel. You were figuratively screaming inside. Before you could go into the dream world and imagine all sorts of situations that you know are not gonna happen, Mr. Jeon's voice snapped. "I think Ms. Olivia already told you that you're going to be seeing your results today?" The class nods, and even though how much results disappoint you, the ear-to-ear smile stays plastered on your face. "She's quite disappointed within all of you." Mr. Jeon started handing out the papers. He passed by your desk, and coldly handed out your paper. You already knew that your grade wouldn't be more than a 'C'. Having no point looking at your answer sheet, you enjoy the upfront view of the teacher you admire.
Mr. Jeon swiftly finishes his job, and children start muttering here and there, comparing their marks. "Oh no someone didn't get more than a 'C'?" A guy sitting beside teases you. You didn't notice you held you're paper in a way revealing everything. You personally like to keep your grades a secret, everything a secret. Nobody liked you, just because they thought that you were an annoying little brat. Of course, you were really different from what others thought, just a bit hesitant to open up. It seemed like every one was blocking you out, and the real fun of the teen period was ruined for you. "She doesn't know how to do anything, Leo. Leave her alone." Another girl from the side named Brooke replied. You're too used to all of this to be bothered even a tiny bit.
You look back towards Mr. Jeon, who starts approaching towards you. He stops at a distance, his body-fit shirt hugging his body along with his pitch black pants. "Appreciate that Y/N doesn't cheat, pipsqueak. I might not know Y/N that deep, but I know her enough that I can understand that getting bad grades is not her decision. Something's definitely coming between her and the grades, so I better not hear another word for her from your mouth."
Wait- what? Did he just defend me? Okay. He might have done that because he's really against bullying. Of course he wouldn't feel something towards you. Why would he do that for you? Nothing wrong. Stop. Freaking. Out. Y/N. "And uh, Y/N, come over here please." Mr. Jeon called out as soon as he sat on his desk. You immediately walked towards him, cheeks all crimson red from what just happened. Even though it was a small action, it had a great impact on you. Every single thing was big unless related to your crush.
You strode across and reached the desk. "Even I don't like talking this way, but you really have to improve your grades. The finals are coming soon, and you know how strict Principal Dwight is. He really wants us to be in the top five. I know, there's some problem that's preventing you to be the best. But I know you are capable of handling this. So, what do you say?" Mr. Jeon's speech disappointed you a bit, knowing that he himself is the thick barrier, but, anything for him. "I sure will. Please don't worry about it." Your response left a warm smile on his face.
There goes your heart. The way his smile just resembles a bunny is just something so cute, it's just healing. You turned around, and were about to go back to your seat, when Mr. Jeon called out again. "One more thing, Y/N." You turned around again, blessed to see his face all again, only to hear the sweet voice of your teacher. "Detention for you today." You couldn't help but ask about what wrong you've done. Mr. Jeon sat without a response, leaving you bewildered. You stood there for a moment, hoping he would answer, but he showed no movement rather than grabbing a book kept across the table. "I prefer you would like to go back at your seat?" His voice was heard through the book, face unseen. You felt a bit embarrassed at yourself and continued your steps.
The rest of the period was dull, specially for you with an extensive lack of friends. The bell rang, that usual squeaky noise filled your ears, and with the excitement to see what's for lunch in the cafeteria today, you get up and start walking out of the class. You travel down the stairs with an empty mind, when you don't notice someone in front of you and you bump into him. You fall towards the ground and he falls upon the stairs, scattering, and you immediately let out a sorry and dive down to pick his books up. He follows the same, and after you are done collecting all the books on your side, your eyes fall upon on one more book that's kept in the middle. You reach out to grab the book and he follows, both of you ending up banging your heads against each other. You were on to letting out another sorry, but the guy in front of you just laughed it out. You looked at him perplexed. "Y/N...right?" He asks, rubbing his head. "Yes. And I suppose you are....?"
"Jaehyun."
It took you moment to realize that you were meeting the real Jaehyun. The perfect boy, an all-rounder, the one who any girl would kill to be with. It was indeed a splendid face to look at, but you were soon snapped out of your thoughts when Jaehyun uttered. "Wanna have lunch together?" He seemed sweet, so you agreed. "I'd love to." By this time, many people had passed by, hearing teensy bit of conversations from the both you. It didn't matter much, and there could be nothing else you would focus on more if Jaehyun was in front of you. As you both started to get up, someone came towards you. You looked up after adjusting your dress, and to your surprise, it was Mr. Jeon. What is he doing over here? According to you and his schedule you knew that he is supposed to be in the staff room, having his salad and other diet meals because he prefers to bring them on every Tuesdays and Thursdays? Then why is he over here?
Wow. You make a pretty good stalker, Y/N. You smile at yourself. Mr. Jeon quickly approaches the both of you. "Good afternoon, sir." You say. "Can I be of any help?" You ask upon receiving a nod from your teacher. Mr. Jeon doesn't react on your question. Instead, he makes a quick grab at your wrist and pulls you away from Jaehyun. You mouth a 'sorry' to the beautiful face in front and turn your back towards the teacher. He drags you to the old staff room, an usual empty room that hadn't been used since... forever. It was an exceptionally big room compared to what other schools have. He shuts the door behind and walks angrily towards you. Making out his clenched jaws and tight wrists wasn't easy as he strode towards you. "I-" It seemed as if he was controlling from bawling right at you. You looked at him perplexed, not processing a bit of the moment. Gradually, you see his fists loosening up and teeth restraining from gritting themselves. "Why weren't you at the lunch table? Today's lunch is short. We are planning for the annual day that's coming up." "You could have said that in front of Jaehyun, sir." You felt your reply acting a bit rude on the man in front of you. "I don't care, now leave." He signaled towards the door behind.
The rest of the lunch was boring too, maybe this day isn't yours. Especially after you blew Jaehyun off. It was awkward to sit with him right on the next table. You thought about why Mr. Jeon dragged you in for such a short conversation, barely meant anything. You couldn't help but let the thought of him being jealous into your mind. The last three periods went as usual, you paid attention, asked doubts, and then before you knew it,
time for detention
"Welcome, Ms. Lee."
You waved back at your teacher. You place your books down from the last period you attended, and sit down. "So, what work do I have to do today?" You ask the teacher in front of you. Clearing his desk, which never seemed clean usually was unbelievable. He put some documents in his drawer and proceeded. "Clean the bathrooms."
You were pretty sure that whatever task Mr. Jeon gave you, it would be something simple and doable. The feeling inside you was like studying a whole lesson only after knowing that it's not even in the test. "I-I'm sorry, what?" You asked. He pulled up his glasses off the table, and wore them. "Why does it surprise you so much?" He said. "Oh no, that's not the thing that surprises me. It's the fact that our school can't afford toilet cleaners?" Nerd mode on? Eh. Maybe. He looks up at you with a serious expression, and then suddenly smiles. Creepy how he does that. "Relax. it was a joke. All you have to do is talk, or maybe put on some music if you're not that social while I correct the test papers. And it's difficult to get my taste, but it's mainly Jazz."
"Well I'd go with the music but, that's all I have to do?" This question took you by surprise. Detention was meant to be boring, and then this really cool school teacher who's also your biggest crush wants you to play music while you do nothing but just sit and stare at him? Things just kept getting weirder and weirder this day. "Well, there is one more thing I'd like you to do if you're feeling that jobless, Y/N." No offense, but you kind of felt that. "Sure."
Now it just felt a lot more awkward than before. He decides to stretch, and somehow it's more of like commanding his biceps to show them. It was awkward the second you got into that room because you've never been alone with him. He starts pacing towards you. You don't step back, but now you're feeling like an ant in front of his huge body. He steps more closer, faces almost centimeters apart, breathings a mess. Since the distance between you two started to minimize, it was your queue to move back. But, like in all those cliché stories there has to be a wall behind every time some guy traps a girl. So yes, there is a wall behind. Now, stuck between the two, panic and heat starts to rise in you. "We both know what you want." Your teachers voice snaps you out of your thoughts. He holds your chin up with one hand, and traps you with the other.
Wait a second.
He knows that you have a crush on him? Was it too obvious too stare at him? When did this happen? How did he get to know about it? A ton of questions popped up in your mind and you needed to know what he meant by that sentence. "What do I want?" Your silly question with a perplexed look shielding your face makes your teacher separate. He copies your expression, "You don't know what you want?" He asks.
Quick, make up an excuse. "N-no, there's a lot going on with me lately so just to see if we're thinking about the same thing."
"Good grades of course," You let out a sigh of relief. "And I have an idea. Well, more of a plan but... it's kinda up to you whether you want it or not." You wanted to know further, because your family was really disappointed with your grades. "Yes."
"Did you examine your paper closely? Everything was marked with a pencil. No one's happy with a 'C', and since you're special, I can let you take a re-test. With your textbook aside." A cocky look spread on his face.
"No, Mr. Jeon that's cheating, and maybe if the school's staff or anyone finds out about it, you can get fired. I can't risk you being fired." You were up against cheating, of course.
"Really? What do you want more, good grades to make up with your family or same old same old?"
Anything he said seemed convincing, and plus this was the biggest thing in your life. One lie could make it up to your parents, bring everything back to normal. "I'm ready." As soon as those words come out of your mouth, he smiles and again pins you towards the wall. "You didn't think it would be that easy did you?" He leans into your ear. After tucking a strand of hair behind, the blood rushes up to your cheeks, a slight tint of maroon on your face now. Now what? "No, of course. How could it be easy. Re-taking my exam with my textbook beside me, this idea suggested by my teacher who's ready to grade me after I cheat in front of him." You rolled your eyes and then lost the eye contact with the man in front of you. "Cool, right?" He asked. "Pretty much, but not as fun as it is when I do it without you getting to know."
"Alright, I'm going to tell you the condition." He moves back and takes a seat on one of the benches. "Shoot."
"Kiss me, and I'll give you an A."
