On 2019 I went on a trip and I got to go to Berlin and Vienna. I was afraid that my german level was not enough to communicate, and also I was afraid of my accent.
My last german teacher is an awful woman. Thanks to her I got so upset that I decided not to present my B1 certification. She also ignored me and also tried to diminished me because my opinions or whatever reason. Once she got mad because I used a more advanced structure that I had read probably once. Also she was the type of person to encourage favoritism and to make noticeable when you were not doing great in any activity. Thanks to her I have fear of not being able to talk ok in german.
But once I went there, damn. I got ego boosted, people asked me if I lived there and I was able to talk just fine. So, suck it you awful woman, I was able to travel and with or without an accent (I speak 6 languages bitch) I was just fine.
That kind of people should never teach anything. Never. At all.
