I really like to give individual projects to the GT kids...they really thrive with it. If you aren't sure what to have them do, ask them about their interests. It takes some extra effort on my part, but the kids love it!

For students with speech and language problems just make sure you are modeling appropriate speech and language and giving them plenty of opportunity to speak. It's really easy to incorporate into conversation and any activities that you have.

Make sure your student with the hearing impairment can always see your face so they can understand you. Let them sit near you and allow them to turn around in their seat to look at others when they are asking questions. I grew up with a hearing impairment in a general education classroom and was a straight A student.
