I will be starting a new year in a couple of weeks. Last year was extremely challenging, and I'm not sure how I feel about it.

I survived another year. This as another challenging year. I need to make it 4 more yeas to retire with full benefits. Sometimes I don’t think the benefits are worth it. Just like all the years before, I have hopes for a better year.

Today a couple of students sprayed a fart smell spray, trying to get a reaction out of me. When I didn’t react, they sprayed more. They sprayed enough to cause the sprayer to start gagging, and the rest of the class was telling on them. I’ve had Covid, so I couldn’t smell anything. I kept teaching until an adult smelled it in the hall and stepped into my room to check on us. At that point, I opened the door and windows. So they had to sit there in their farty smell. They didn’t think it was funny, but I’m still laughing 😂

I am finally back in-person at my home school. I am so happy to be back. It has been amazing to walk in the building and hear people say we are so glad you’re back. I am so excited for this year. I know this year like every year will have its challenges but I will have awesome coworkers to help me through

I went in for 1/2 day to start setting up my room. Tomorrow is my first official day. After 3 1/2 years of virtual, this is going to be a rough transition.

Is it just me or do all teachers start to panic before school starts

I have finally escaped virtual purgatory and will get to go back to my previous school. I am so excited. I can't wait to get back but I'm nervous about going back to the classroom after 3 years. However, I was not going to last where I was at.
