Today was my last day teaching in student teaching. I'll be in the classroom till the 24th, but tomorrow and Thursday we're watching Hidden Figures in the 6th grade classes and Queen of Katwe in the 7th grade classes (because they've already seen Hidden Figures). And then it's Mid-Winter Break (4 day weekend) and then I finish out next week watching other people teach and all that.

I've survived! I passed all of my Observations first try. I got really good reviews. I learned a lot. And I feel like I'm at a good place to start applying for teaching positions next year!

I have three papers left and I'm mid-writing on paper 3.

The end is in sight! Graduation is soon. I am...almost done.

Good news I finally completed my NES Subtest II or my Mathematics and Science Exam through the State two weeks ago. I found out I passed right away but had to wait until last Friday to get my test scores back. I sent them into my University and now am waiting for them to be posted so my Teaching Certificate can be ordered from my state's public education office.

This means I will have my Master's Degree in hand soon. So excited! I am finally done with my Teaching Program!

Waiting has been hard but I have been applying for a lot of jobs in the meantime. I had my first interview today and was offered a History teacher job. Unfortunately, it is only part-time so I am going to wait to accept it until I find out whether I can get something better.

Whew I finally finished the last test I needed to take to get my Master's Degree in Education. I've been studying for the Kindergarten-8th Grade Mathematics and Science Exam through my State for the last month. It's been a lot more difficult than I thought it would be but I got through it. I didn't do as well as I hoped I would but am very glad it's done now. My certificate should be coming in the mail in a few weeks.

Now am moving on to applying for some History jobs. I've decided to put another History degree on hold for now and to find a job teaching or doing museum work. If anyone has any job hunting tips I'd greatly appreciate them. If I can land a History teacher position this will be my first time being a classroom teacher.
