B for Bargain How will they go about getting their way when they’re disagreeing?
Hotch wouldn’t be Hotch if he didn’t know how to negotiate. He’s a profiler. He used to be a lawyer. He knows you like the back of his hand. It’s a dangerous trifecta to argue against. You know, you just know, that sometimes you’ve lost even when it seems like you reached a mutual compromise. That he only makes it seem like you both have to compromise when in reality he’s started out with something unreasonable and then made you agree to what was his initial plan all along.
And you also know that he will occasionally disagree only because your main tactic is to win him over with kisses and promises to make it up to him later somehow. It’s futile to try and win a verbal argument, so why not try body language? It works most of the time, but you suspect it’s only because he lets it work.
H for Hot What outfit/look is their favorite on the other?
Hotch looks good in his tailored suits, no doubt about it, but there’s just something about him in jeans that makes your mind go blank. How can anyone make a pair of regular cut jeans and a plain t-shirt look so good? Or worse, a polo shirt? You don’t know if it’s because it shows off his muscular arms, his strong legs, or just because it sends an unequivocal signal that he is Off Work and all yours.
For you, Hotch is uncomplicated. He appreciates seeing you dressed up for any kind of occasion. Not necessarily because of how it looks on your body -- which is, of course, a happy byproduct -- but because you obviously feel good about yourself. He appreciates the effort you put in to look your best, but he appreciates it mostly because you appreciate it and that makes him happy to see you checking yourself out in the mirror.
J for Jealous Is either of them jealous? How do they show and handle it?
Let’s face it, Hotch doesn’t like to share. He’s observant enough to notice other people checking you out -- and they should, because you’re stunning -- but anyone who lets their gaze linger a second too long will find themselves subject to the infamous Hotch Glare™. He will claim you physically, putting his arm around your shoulder, encourage you to look up from whatever you’re doing to kiss him. Not normally the one for PDA, he wants to let the world know you're his. He never takes it further than that. It’s part of the trust you’ve built between the two of you.
You’ve never felt the need to be jealous, except maybe at his job for taking so much of his time. And you know exactly what he’s up to when he’s kissing you in public, and you indulge him for that exact same reason. It’s nice to feel wanted, even if you’re sure of your relationship, and who can say no to a kiss from Aaron Hotchner?
