Sophie is a rising sophomore, majoring in Early Childhood and Special Education and minoring in Linguistics. She is also on the Independent Tech Track in Tisch’s Production and Design department, focusing on set design. She grew up in Wilmington, Delaware, attending a Montessori school which ultimately inspired her to become a teacher. In her free time she keeps up with t.v. comedies such as New Girl and Bob’s Burgers. She loves to make art, especially painting in Washington Square Park. Although she was a picky eater through her life, being in NYC has opened her up to trying any type of food that she can. Even with all of the restaurants in the city, she still misses cooking and baking with friends. She is very excited to continue to live in NYU housing and to finally get a kitchen. So if you ever get a hankering for some home cooking, don’t be afraid to let her know! She is very friendly and loves to host. If you need anything else, just ask! From restaurant recommendations to a quiet place to study, Sophie knows and would be happy to tell you about it.
