Design rant time!

-when it comes to designing gods, they aren’t exactly human and I show this by adding some extras on a more human build as seen on the drawings above. However, the biggest way I do this is by messing with the eyes, by giving them different shapes, removing the iris/puplis, darkening the scleras, casting a shadow over them, yadayada. I have seen many artists do this as well

-There isn’t much I can say about athena’s design, It was majorly inspired by the designs by various animators such as gigi or duvetbox.

-as for poseidon’s design, aside from more references to the designs by neal illustrator and duvetbox, I made the sclera’s darker and gave him slit pupils (though it still looks a lot like how I usually draw eyes)

-When I draw the gods I probably won’t make them absolutely massive unless I’m drawing zeus or smth. Maybe I would make some of them taller than normal like athena.

Most of these designs I may use in animatics if I actually try to make those from epic songs. Idk I have made on or two five second animatics so…
