Teal Tiger and Pink Panther, the bestest of beloved friends, always try to surprise one another as they romp throughout the jungle together.

Their audience of fluttering butterflies never quite know who has the upper paw at the end of the day because the pair always seem to end in one giant purring pile of whiskers and tails.

For Lil Rai, the best and sweetest lil peckneck in the universe- a Network-approved fact: *~17, 59, 65, 66, 67 & 69~* (I wanted to add 68 in there but fingers crossed he’ll have a new best moment some time in the future so going to save that Q for another day)

:3c 17. He dreams about the beach a bit, and also about Halloweentown.

59. Gardening! Plants are nice even if his introduction to them was a bit...................

69. Corn Maze Crew: Lin is fluffy and warm and so very very strong!! She is really nice!! I love her a bunch!!

Tiffy is smaller than me, and doesn’t talk? But they are nice! 

Teal is cool! He likes to show off a lot. But he has a cool scarf!

Jacques is very tall. He lives in a fancy house but he’s really nice. I think he might be hurt or something.

Asclepius is fun! He’s usually so calm and nice, though he is SCARY when he’s angry. He likes plants too!! His garden is so pretty!!

What were the Spooky Grandparent opinions of the rag tag group hwnn they first met? Has it changed now?

Jacques thought they had potential. each of them had individual skills that he could see them honing in the future that would bring them much success. in particular, he was very impressed with Tiffy and Rai - they're both very young, but Tiffy had a very cool head and was able to compose herself remarkably well when faced with potential threats all alone, while Rai was also smart in his choice to get space and take a moment to breathe when faced with Lin's shifted bloodlust.

it's only really changed in that now he trusts them a lot more than he did when he first met them, which is the benefit of time and also them saving his life. he's not as close with Teal or Tiffy as he is with Rai and Lin, just by virtue of the fact that they don't come around as often and he can't really go places much, but he does consider them all to be very close friends.

Asclepius, on the other hand, thought they were all pretty reckless in the beginning. he almoat called the maze off when they all got separated and wounded, it was only because Jacquea stopped him that he didn't. he trusts his husband's judgement, though, and nowadays he's very glad he did. he definitely wants to spend more time with Rai in the garden.

How did Lin first feel meeting the Corn maze party in that original game? How does she feel about them all now?

Oh anon, this game me thoughts and has now made me want to rewatch that beginning. But to answer:

Tiffy: absolute small baby child bundle of happy noises. Delightful little one who she had to protect if anything scary happened, she’s kind of glad the kid wasn’t there when she shifted- same time she did feel a lot of guilt losing the child and her getting a little scuffed up. Overall mentally promised to help the kid in future in any way she could as Tiffy is a bright little orange bloom that should be able to enjoy life as much as peckin’ possible!

Rai: Another child, a small child who struggled to pick corn and literally hid in her shadow. Sweet little buddy! Impressive magic user and very dangerous with that stick, a clever little one. The longer she was in that maze with Rai the more she got attached cos they were sweet- and then she went and pecked up and actually hurt them and it went so wrong- but she’s glad they were ok in the end. She got them on that train and as she muddled over her own thoughts vowed that she’d make it up to him in the future… the leaf he gave her is taped to the underside of his sketch on the Wall of Love.

Teal: Responsible. Slightly older than her and someone that when she was wobbling stepped up. Good with words and seemed to have a clear head on his shoulders. Bit of a dork with the card tricks but in an endearing way… actually thinking over his business card on the train after did have her going ‘… he’s a PECKIN THIEF?!?!’ But by that point she’d got a read on him as a good person so she wasn’t going to go off the rails.

Asclepius: Tall realkind who she didn’t know anything about. Maybe friendly, maybe neutral, didn’t seem hostile. She was pretty clueless about the maze but he was just some person. Him picking the corn for Rai- a sweet kid- was in his favour but still wary. After going through the maze she started to warm up to him with the healing and also just how genuinely calm he was, he didn’t loom even though he towered over her and he was gentle- something she was largely unfamiliar with. Plus the shenanigans she witnessed at the very end took him from someone of vague interest into someone she could find herself liking.

Jacques: y’know what? She was actually intimidated by him. She didn’t know him, and was very much in that state of worrying just how badly she had pecked up in the maze and had figured the voice was his now, and trying to sus the situation out on top of the internal dilemma of everything that had just happened. She did however already start warming up to him once she figured out that no harm was done to anyone and that he was a genuinely nice guy- plus the broach is amazing! At first was an item of use to protect others and get herself out of tough spots (something she definitely appreciated) so a quick staple part of her design, and then became an item of fondness and warm sentiment and pride down the line that she had been there and found good people. 

The start of a new chapter of her life.

Now? the very core of her Family.

Tiffy: yes a bright child but also intuitive, the little one sees things and gives excellent hugs and Network liked her. Her guardian as well is amazing and considered a good friend.

Rai: Her boy. Her brilliant amazing talented boy that she is so excited to see grow. Network and her both would give the world to him. She just has a few final touches on that paperwork.

Teal: A good dork, a friend and perhaps corn-maze brother. She has many questions and she will get them answered... but she’s going to enjoy teasing him along the way.

Asclepius: kind and soft but can be powerful when needed. Soft isn’t a lack of strength- it’s a choice to be good. He has helped her in a way she didn’t think was possible. She has questions about somethings she wants to ask at some stage... just got sidetracked by the elation of being normal again. He also gives excellent hugs.

Jacques: someone with many secrets but also is full of warmth. She has a part of her conspiracy board dedicated to what she saw in the basement and she will be asking about that someday. She can be vulnerable around this guy and his husband without fear of judgement. She takes his words to heart, and she’s delighted he’s going to be helping her learn new magic.

(She is still so very scared of losing them so she’s going to be pursuing her studies and training to be strong for them all, the nightmares are still present but a lot less nowadays... she’s going to improve and part of that is making sure now that she’s not a threat she can still defend against threats).

These folks inspire her to be better, she’s going to need to learn to be a little more open, but she’s getting there, and she knows where she would run in times of need (or just to visit- she loves them so very much).
