❄️ Winter is long and hard in Siberia…

… and there will be so many Good Omens fanfics to read!

I’m participating in the Winter Omens Big Bang as artist (see earlier post about that collab here) and writer. My story “Giddy Up” is done and now I am all anticipation about what my artist @kaeraesketches will come up with!

In the meantime, let me give you 3 small excerpts, and an idea of what the story is about:

mini summary: Aziraphale and Crowley ride in a sleigh and make out.

from chapter 1:

Dear diary, my head is still spinning with it all.

When I close my eyes, I still see nothing but the vast plains of white snow stretching in all directions between horizons, glittering as with myriads of diamonds under the midday sun, low although in zenith, in a pale blue sky.

I feel like a tiny tardigrade in the middle of a snow globe.

from chapter 3:

When our eyes had wandered the snow globe’s dome from horizon to horizon, they met again, in very close proximity. Mine may have gravitated to Crowley’s mouth. Oh, how much I wanted to kiss him.

from chapter 5:

My hat fell from my head, I heard it fall to the ground behind the sleigh, lost in the sea of snow, our sleigh speeding away from it like an unstoppable torrent. I exclaimed, “My hat!” But Crowley growled, “fuck your hat”, and …

A ‘Good Omens’ x ‘The Mysterious Mr Quin’ Fusion Mystery

Summary:

Agatha Christie’s Messrs Quin and Satterswaithe are surely the most obscure pair of mystery solvers created by the Queen of Crime. ‘The Mysterious Mr Quin’ stories have their own, special flair of magical realism. The duo’s usual method of operation - to solve a mystery in order to reunite lovers and save lives - is put to the ultimate stress test in the year 1941 in this, their newest, case - where the stakes are ineffably high!

And in Mr Satterswaithe’s estimate, Mr Quin behaves even more mysteriously then ever. But the attentive reader who is also a Good Omens fan may have the one or other ✨Clue✨ advantage over him…
