Tealin subspecies
Dancer in a Field of shattered mirrors
It's pretty much a wild animal despite the form they inherit.
Solitary often make themselves home in the shattered fields as they will dance and obsess over their appearance.
They are not hostile even when entering its territory however if you ignore it's performance it may become hostile and attack which is a problem as the teeth seen under its skin will pierce the skin and form an armour and despite the size at a distance it is three times the size of an average human.
Event has now passed- ticket is for access to recording PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO PHYSICAL TICKET FOR THIS EVENT. PLEASE SELECT COLLECT IN SHO
Did you miss my livestream interview with Ink@84 Books and wish you hadn't? Fear not, you can still catch it on demand! For a limited time a ticket purchase (£5, worldwide) will get you access to the recording, which you can watch any darn time you please. I talk about making Worst Journey Vol.1 (including parts of the process you haven't seen elsewhere) and there's a generous Q&A section at the end. People have told me they like it -- maybe you will too!
My little guys.......
Post office bounty! Well overdue, but there were extenuating circumstances in some cases!
R from Cleveland (not sure I should share your full name) sent me the lovely red panda from the Cleveland Zoo in FEBRUARY, and I may have posted it but I found it tucked behind something while cleaning, so I wanted to make sure it got posted.
Next to the red panda is a Weddell seal that came all the way from MCMURDO STATION IN ANTARCTICA; it was dated in August but I received it in October, which given its origins I think may be forgiven for taking a while to get to me. @tealin, you’re the only person I can think of mad enough to traipse around the antarctic, was this from you? :D I just about screamed when I saw the postmark. (If it wasn’t Tealin, will the McMurdo Postcarder please stand up?)
We’ll come back to that St. Augustine postcard in a second...
The other four, including an X-Files postcard that gave me physical sensations of nostalgia, are from @scifigrl47 who is very good to send me regular postcards and very tolerant of my failing to post them in a timely manner. :D I especially like the “energy awareness month” stamp on the front of the weird flower postcard; it has a real 1940s propaganda vibe to it and also how often do you get an electrical outlet on your postcards?
The St. Augustine postcard is from @jabberwockypie, and it came with the commission I bought from her, which was a couple of Star Wars amigurumi; she made me two BB8s, a Child from the Mandalorian (this is going to be a gift for my stepdad), and a BB8 catnip toy that Dearborn promptly bogarted and still spends a significant amount of time each day snuggling with. Polk sometimes gets to play with it but only when Deebs is out of the room. (If you’re interested in crochet commissions, you can get in touch at her tumblr; she also does D&D character plushies.)
Thank you all! I’m always delighted to get postcards, and while I won’t be checking my PO box for a few weeks while we’re in lockdown I do try to check it monthly.

Wait wait, you’re just going to say ‘to see The Void’ and leave it there?
Oh, you know - the Infinite Void under the building. Don’t all libraries have that?
(I kid, it’s actually just an empty space between the foundations of the library and those of George VI Bridge; despite the appearance at street level, the building and the bridge aren’t attached in any meaningful structural sense. They used to use the vaults of the bridge for storage.)
My shapeshifter oc sketch collection is finally done
