then maybe mafia au with either monochrome or Arryn and Weiss (totally up to you for whichever is easiest to write) where weiss acquires a new body guard/ partner in crime
The plan was so simple that Blake would have laughed.
Schnee had existed for generations, and for as long as the company had lived, White Fang had existed as well to oppose it; to speak out for the faunus that were silenced in mines, that weren’t allowed to speak by Schnee goons. When news had come through that one of the family’s bodyguards had lost his life in a peaceful protest gone violent, the leaders had seen their chance.
It had been easy to sell herself. Blake would even think that it was too easy, except she had met the two Schnee men face-to-face; the current head, and his father, Weiss Schnee’s grandfather. The son clearly still had his biases about faunus, but the protest had turned public opinion against the company when it had come to light that some of the guards had caused it to become violent.
On top of that, the old man was feeling his age, weak and sick and dying; he wanted to atone for some of the wrongs he had committed in his long life, to have a clean conscience before he died. So Blake had walked in, ears exposed for the whole world to see, and they had both jumped on the opportunity.
For the son, it was a good way to earn back public approval; to hire a faunus and trust her with the life of one of his daughters was a sign of good faith, a sign that his discrimination didn’t run as deeply as the community knew it did.
For the father, it was one small chance to try and redeem himself. Countless lives ruined throughout the years, and he thought one moment of kindness could redeem him of it. The thought made Blake sick.
Still, it had worked in her favor. She had sold her story of growing up outside of the kingdoms, of being raised and trained by White Fang, about how she had abandoned the cause five years ago when everything had turned to violence. It was mostly true, at least. The first part of the story was true.
The second part, about leaving White Fang? Not so much. In fact, this whole thing was a mission for White Fang; to get inside Schnee, right into the heart, right to one of his daughters.
But, well. Neither of them needed to know that. It was her little secret.
The plan was simple, and it started today. Her first official day as a bodyguard working for the Schnee family. Her first official day as the bodyguard for Weiss Schnee.
She’d read all about Weiss in the papers, had seen pictures of her. This would be the first time they met face to face.
Blake had dressed for the occasion. Schnee insisted on white for their guards—white suit, white pants, and just for the contrast she’d worn a black shirt under her suit. And of course, her ears exposed. Always with her ears exposed. That was part of the appeal of her working for them.
She watched as the car pulled up to the main gate; Weiss Schnee returning from visiting her mother. Her ears perked as the door opened, and the woman herself stepped out. Pale skin, eyes like ice and hair the color of snow.
… Smaller than Blake had expected but, well.
The faunus stepped forward, gave a small bow in greeting. A slim white brow arched. “Blake Belladonna, I assume,” Weiss said at last. “Father told me all about you.”
“I’m honored.” She smiled. “Weiss Schnee. I’ve read all about you.”
“… I’m honored,” Weiss decided at last, and offered her hand.
Shaking it would have been proper, really. But Blake took great pleasure in the Weiss blushed, in the hitch in her breath, when the faunus took her hand and kissed the back of it.
Oh, yes.
This would be too easy.
