Now what if I told you I have multiple aus and every ody has trauma but in different ways. The other one that's particularly harsh is Riptide AU Ody. He's a minor god and okay now but...his godhood was forced on him after he nearly died and got the core of his soul stolen. Spent 7 years as a husk wandering in a pretty self destructive state. It takes underhanded methods to fully get ownership of his soul back so he can fully become a minor god after suffering through having a mortal core in an immortal body. All this because he told Thanatos he's not interested.
What do you think? I thrive on angst if I'm being honest and Ody is the one I hit with it lol.
Ody: Just...make it quick? I can't tell you how unsettling it is to see MY face getting shot over and over...
Jason: awe sure thing little buddy! Hey how about we catch him alive even?? That way good ol' Bossman can drain him slowly right in front of everyone here before having him as the piddly lil snack cake you- oops, *he* is~
Odysseus: I hate you.
Jason: Choke on it Ody~

I would say it depends on what your asking, for my thoughts on this type of Ody, I think it would be interesting, the idea of Ody being gifted reluctant godhood is one that often times I rather enjoy. Unwilling as he is for it.
If your asking how that version of Ody would fair in MYTHOS? Ehhhhhhhhh? It kinda depends on who finds him first I think, someone like Zeus would be more than happy to recruit him to his own ranks in fighting against Kronos, the more gods with actual access to power in spite of the lack of faith? The better.
Crono.corp, however? How boy, he's gonna have a time, especially since THIS worlds odysseus will be head of the team in charge of taking him down. And who better to tear down Odysseus than Odysseus?
