The real Francis might have been a really nice guy.
Mary and him might of actually had a happy relationship.
But Reign has just ruined his character for me because of his constant belittling of Mary, how awful he was about the fact she struggled to get pregnant and lost the baby when she did, his total disrespect of her ptsd, the little fucks he gives about Scotland, his threats and jailing, the way he treats her like property, how he told her he would take a mistress. it’s ruined my image of him.
I can’t get over the fact he said in season two when Conde went against him, he told Mary that he didn’t care about what she said or did. Like asshole, while you were rolling your eyes at her ptsd, he was being a good friend. He didn’t even need to be told that she was raped, he figured it out like he realised she was in pain and stayed with her throughout her miscarriage, he even had to tell you to check up on her. The way he treats Bash is more of a joke. Bash deserved better than Francis’ bullshit.
Sorry real Francis, sorry they portrayed you this way. I feel like i should study you just to get some guarantee that you were better than that. Cause honestly, i was cheering for the ear infection.
