Day two: Lost feat Chase...

"She's gotta be in there, with them, right?"

Egos VS Anti

I’m not the best author, but I’ll give it a shot.

Chase’s POV:

This is it. I stand in front of Anti, gun in one hand, my other reaching out to protect Marvin.

“So, you really came here to confront ME?” Anti asks.

I nod, my heart beating. “We’re not afraid of you, Anti!” I yell. “We’re not just going to let you win!”

Anti laughs. “So, you thought bringing yourselves to me was more of a challenge? You thought YOU TWO could defeat me?” He takes a step closer, smirking. “Even your precious Doctor couldn’t stop me. What can a child with a NERF gun and a guy with some card tricks do to stop ME?”

“You’re weak, Anti!” Marvin says. “You’re alone! You lost all of your support!”

“Weak?” Anti asks, tilting his head. “Why would you say that? After all...” Anti steps sideways revealing two familiar figures. “I do have SOME support.”

The Doctor and Jackaboy-man step out, their bodies glowing with an odd green aura. I gasp. I had known about the Doctor being corrupted, but I had never thought about him being able to corrupt our superhero. Their eyes are green and expressionless, their movements stiff and cold.

“Chase, Chase, Chase...” Anti says, walking closer to me. “It would be easier if you just gave in. If you let me in, I can free us all! Don’t you see?!?” I step away from him, making sure to keep Marvin at a safe distance. “Jack’s an OPPRESSOR! He keeps us trapped, just so he can pull us out for tiny skits, discarding us afterward. He KILLED you, Chase.”

I stop for a moment, contemplating. What if he’s right? What if Jack just wants to use us?

Marvin pulls me back to reality, literally, because Anti tries to grab my arm. “DON’T LET HIM TOUCH YOU!” Marvin cries. “HE’LL INFECT YOU!”

“Marvin...” Anti says, now turning to the Magician. “I have to ask you something. How does it feel to be the forgotten one?”

Marvin stops. “W-what?” He ask, startled.

“Oh, didn’t you hear?” Anti says. “Jack FORGOT about you. Everyone was so worried about Chase, they would’ve left you for DEAD.” I pull Marvin away. “If you let me in, I’ll make sure you’ll ALWAYS be remembered.”

“DON’T DO IT, MARVIN!” I scream, trying to pull my friend away. “HE’S LYING TO YOU!! HE WANT’S ALL THE GLORY FOR HIMSELF!! HE’S DECEIVING YOU!!!”

Marvin shakes his head, shooting a magic ball at Anti. It dazes him for a moment. We both run. “We have to find Jack!” Marvin says. “It’s the only way to end this!”

I nod, and we both sprint down the hallway towards the main control room. We throw open the door, and Marvin seals it closed with Magic. “Free him!” He says.

I race over to the control panel, looking at what Anti’s been doing. I see the Septicart tag quickly scrolling accross the screen. It turns into data, which in turn keeps Jack trapped in his cage.

“Think Chase, think!” I mutter. “How do you save someone?”

And then it hit me. I type in the new tag, praying this works.

“Septicsave accepted. Beginning restorative processes now.”I sigh in relief, watching as the countdown begins.

And, then, the doors break down.

Tell me if you want more, guys. This was actually really fun to write!
