Team Nikolai running for their lives vs the Darkling’s Grisha running and summoning with ease
It’s a crime that no one noticed the amplifier in Ivan’s hand
Do you think the Stag ever regrets choosing Alina?
He sitting there as a ghost, disappointed with her and wishes he had chosen Sasha.
Honestly I was kinda mad about the inferni twins dying. Both moments were supposed to be applauded because it's "growth" for Inej since they were her first kill. What makes it worse is that her killing them is justified because the twins made rascist/ableist comments. If they never made those comments, then their deaths wouldn't have been seen as a wonderful moment for the heroes
I personally didn't see those comments as justifying their deaths in any way.
I don't remember the full scene, but the context of Pavel's comments was that he was trash talking a guy who broke into his home (and Kaz's limp was what alerted him to Kaz being an intruder).
As for Polina's "Suli trash" line... she's talking to a woman who murdered her brother (from behind like a coward) and had just stabbed her.
In both cases, they're asshole comments to make, but they're not something those characters have done out of the blue. They're probably not any more racist or ableist than any other character in this universe.
These were not unprovoked comments aimed at random people. Once again, Kaz and Inej broke into their home and mutilated and murdered Polina's brother. Those comments were made after Kaz and Inej showed themselves to be enemies, so the insult gloves were off (and the inferni gloves were on).
The Inferni twins were just doing their job and were kind of rude about it.
And on a scale of "murder worthy comments", Polina's "I will find you and I will kill you" speech and Pavel's trash talk are both way lower than half the shit Mal says in the book or the garbage Alina says to Genya in both versions of their end-of-story confrontation.
And don't even get me started on the bigoted shit people say about Grisha in the books.
We the twins rude? Yeah. But I wouldn't be polite to someone who broke into my home and murdered my brother either.
So. We did a re-watch of episode 8 of SaB with @yototothelalafell. This was the third time I've seen it. And I just can't get it. It made perfect sense. Get rid of the civil war threat and end the wars. Yes, with a threat, but since when is war FAIR? You do not end centuries of war by hugging your enemies.
The Crows sabotaging the move makes no sense to me.
Morozova's stag ex machina choosing Alina makes no sense to me.
I may be biased, but once again I consider the very last scene a happyend.
Ivan: General, you have a meeting in 5 minutes.
Aleksander sitting on the floor with 5 little girls, wearing a fluffy pink boa, pink crown and sipping tea.
Aleksander: I’m busy at the moment, reschedule it.
Ivan: General this will be the 5th time we’ve rescheduled the meeting with the Tsars council.
Little Girls: He said he’s busy! They can wait!
Aleksander nods his head.
Ivan shakes his head and walks away muttering under his breath.
Aleksander smirks and high fives the girls. They go back to their tea party.
Who do you think would spike the eggnog at the Little Palace holiday party?
I’m thinking Feydor because no one would suspect him.
The reason why the Grisha sit in their certain groups isn’t because Sasha ordered it that way but more than likely because they would have taken the same classes together, slept in the same dorms and would therefore know each other better. It isn’t because they don’t want to mingle but think of how we were in school. We sat with the people we had classes with and became friends with.
I don’t think it some thing about Grishas wanting to be in certain cliques.
