David Seadon-Young in the West End production of An American in Paris.
As I was writing my end of year post for Mat this afternoon I was reminded of some things that made me want to do a quick post about these two idiots. Now, anyone who knows me will be aware that I have a clear favourite here. However, I will always think of them as a team - one of the many things that is Ginger’s fault ( @maraschinocheri tagging you just in case) . The support these two show for each other is a beautiful thing to behold. Even though David has done little work in the UK I have still seen him several times in the past year - he was at the Music Sunday gig in January (where I actually shared a table with him), he was at both Mat’s one off shows in September and just a few days ago he went to see Beautiful. Mat hasn’t had the chance to see David this year but I do remember him seeing Assassins twice as well as going to Chischester to see David in Damsel in Distress. If one of these two has a show the chances of the other one attending is about as high as seeing Hugh Skinner at Jonny Bailey’s shows.
2017 is looking like a good year for both of them as each of them will shine in sizeable parts in the West End. I am sure they will continue to be each other’s greatest supports and I will be there to cheer for them at any given chance. Let 2017 be the year of the newly named Team Seadon-Young!
@MatSeadonYoung Our very first dance call together. Making the most of it @davidroberts258. #seadonyoungstakeovertheworld
Random question but I have always wondered and the new picture reminded me - do you know how old the Robertses are?
Alex is 25, if I remember correctly (though that was info from last July; he may have turned 26 in the meantime), and I think Mat is 27 or 28 and David 30? But I’m not absolutely sure. I’m also all ponder-ponder-ponder about calling them Team Roberts now that David’s definitely switched to Seadon-Young professionally, too! I’ll have to get my head around that.
