Cut of the season?
(JLTG Season 13, Episode 4; slightly abridged)
Marnette is obviously doing mentally horrible right now. Why would you make a rally in order to target her instead of genuinely talking it out with him Professor Hazel? Even if that's what you didn't think you're doing, you sure as hell insinuated it by airing all that out onto the public directly in front of him and potentially her CHILD too. Many people and pokemon sure are suffering because of this. You did not at all handle this situation like you were dealing with someone who wants to be better and has done better. You did this as someone who just wants to keep someone else on a short leash.
Now it's time for someone to dig Marny out of the mental hell that you wanted to push her down. Of course it won't be you. Nor will you take responsibility. Public knowledge isn't always needed. But that goes against the team, doesn't it.
Hello,
Marnette Mador is a 41 year old person whose past crimes are open knowledge. Were anyone to just do a cursory search of her name, they would find this information within two search results. I did not air anything to the public that was not already public knowledge, and regardless of my intent, Marnette's mental health is not my or any other member of Team Curiosity's responsibility.
I do not wish to keep him on a short leash. Far from it, we had ceased surveillance on him months ago due to his behavior improving. Not to mention that, as we are not a law enforcement agency, we have no authority to keep Marny under physical restraint. Despite him being banned from Sinnoh, if he enters the region, we generally do not intervene in his affairs unless he is posing a threat to the freedom of information. After all, that is typically the only threat he poses in his current state.
Perhaps this is a harsh assumption to make, but I believe you many not have been in Snowpoint or Lake Acuity during the Team Shard attacks. Marnette threatening to return to Snowpoint is one of the few exceptions that Team Curiosity is willing to make to its rule of non-interference. This is due to potential Team Galactic comparable levels of environmental and human devastation should he be left unchecked. The last time we allowed her to return there, I lost a good friend of mine to a direct hit from a Drapion's poison jab. She died defending that lake. I won't disrespect her memory by allowing Marnette to return to her grave, nor will I disrespect the citizens of Snowpoint who died in that blaze.
To conclude, I ask you this, anon: we have an admin on our team who also suffers from manic episodes. Why is it that they have never gone out of their way to hurt people during these times, yet Marnette has? Is this indicative of a difference in severity, or a difference in personality? What does it imply when you state that someone who hurts others is only doing so because of a mental disorder?
Consider this your homework for the night.
May Uxie guide your sight,
—Professor Marianne Hazel
