Getting back into bug fables means I am the only one who super duper loves team slacker
During work, I took the time to draw some of the exploration teams you encounter in Bug Fables!
The designs for each team look pretty cool (with Team Slacker being my favorite), which made me want to try and draw them in my style.
Whether it be a friendly encounter or a tough battle, it was always a treat to see these teams during my playthrough!
Even though I'm still kinda rusty when it comes to coloring with markers (and made a few small mistakes here and there), I'm still happy with how this came out. It was kinda fun to draw this, considering how much variety there is within each team.
They're taking a hard earned break after slacking off!

just it really is great. I get Maki is a fun character, but oh. I cannot stop singing team slacker's praises.
I do think though its probably do to poor first impressions. (with people making their assumptions about the characters early on, before realizing they were wrong about those assumptions. ) That and well they don't do much other then information and the cool bonus boss. I feel they should have had more drama in the plot.
True I do see your point — from what I remember I like how they’re introduced!! I haven’t continued my playthrough so my memory might be a bit iffy but I really love that you can find them all around. Yes, it means you can miss out on their dialogue at some parts but I think that’s Okay, because bug fables offers you quite a lot of dialogue to begin with
And also learning that these guys who are known for slacking, just being some of the most powerful bugs in all of the ant kingdom (and maybe Bugaria)
Their Lack of. Canon History I personally like bc I have all my little headcanons about them which I see people do for Maki and the other explorers too :] — I do agree I wish they had more of a part, maybe seeing them help fight the wasps, or something along those lines
Team Slacker deserves more love! (I appreciate the sort of bait and switch where they're implied to be sort of loosers, but in fact are just so powerful that they can pick/chose their missions. And they don't want to actually do these missions themselves, just help other bugs. Its a fun dynamic that i never really see explored in games. Sometimes the helpers are tough.)
YEA!!!!!! you get it. They're so funny b/c they have the capabilities to wipe the FLOOR with anybody, probably even Maki!!! iirc Leif has a comment about wishing he had Stratos' help during the wasp king fight.
They just go around, checking stuff out, and then letting others know so they can go do the actual work. IMO they'd find most of the quests you do as team snakemouth to be a walk in the park, so why not let them and others do it!
Also the little dialogue lines you get if you lose / if you win against them in the tavern? priceless
people in this fandom need to appreciate stratos and delilah smh i feel like the only fan
