The problem is that it gives you everything up front. So, you don’t get into the rhythm of typing out all the patterns yourself. Then when something goes wrong in the project, or you’re learning it on version 1.8 but have 2.x at home, you’re like, “I have no idea where that is” because you never put it there, and also, it’s probably deprecated! Django puts it there automatically. Because it’s so “EASY”.
Once I know what I’m doing, I see how this will eventually make life easier. But for now...

Finally reverse engineered the apps made in my last two courses to the point where I can start on the basic element of project five. Gotta get my flask app reading and writing to/from that database to/from the post stream before I can worry about ‘users’ and premade HTML/CSS. I’m writing this here to remind myself that I completed this step, and put it in a twin folder for the BSNwF(Add Some Layout) workspace. In case I get stuck and entertain the idea of restarting from scratch for the zillionth time.

4 Python Projects completed. 3 out of 4 “Exceeds Expectations”.
I am now approximately 1/3 of the way through this Techdegree Program!
That’s me. The proud achiever of over 10,000 “points”* on TeamTreehouse.com. Admittedly, a third-ish of those were me zooming through JavaScript and maybe not taking the time to internalize the information like I should’ve been. But, still. *With nobody to tell me otherwise, I'm going to just assume a “point” is worth a unit of college credit. By that metric, at this rate I’m working on, what, my 9th BA?
Team Treehouse’s Staff is on vacation for Euro-America’s Juneteenth. They’ve got fewer people reviewing projects, but they say projects will still get graded, so I submitted my project 4 without waiting for a review, because I need to move on with my life!!!
Hopefully everything goes well. Also, if any of you out there in tumblr land have a good strategy for unit testing functions (using python’s unittest module) that involve multiple user input()s, please hit me up!
